I know with the current unpleasantness afoot more and more gunnies are trying there hand at making itty bitty holes with air guns instead of firearms for the time being. I cannot stress enough that like firearms, air guns may not like a given load even if it is a quality pellet, not unlike high end .22s or any firearm for that matter. See below for an illustration.

The vast majority of my guns have been shooting really well with Air Arms Diabolo Fields, so much so that I have been sort of re-zeroing them with the Air Arms pellets. Now the vast majority of my guns shoot well with H&Ns as well but the AA diabolo's have generally seemed a bit tighter or easier. I have been working on my HW30 Silver Deluxe and JUST haven't been shooting it well. I have been trying to get the Air Arms stuff sighted in, as it works well in my other HW30s. Well tonight I sat down and put up another frustrating group and decided to just go back to the H&N stuff. What an illustration of a gun absolutely preferring one pellet vs. another, even when both pellets are of reasonably high quality. In this case I think its pretty obvious which pellet this particular silver deluxe prefers. I was just REALLY trying to make the diabolos work for some reason instead of trying my old faithful. Again just an illustration of a given INDIVIDUAL gun not liking a certain pellet even though another of the same model shoots them just fine.

I'll be honest as frustrating as this can be, its all part of the fun for me. :D

It makes perfect sense

I always had great luck with RWS pellets in my Webley Vulcan rifle and Beeman 800 pistol.

They both loved the Meisterkuglen (sp?) and the Vulcan shot the superpoint and superdome pellets well, too.

Other brands didn’t do as well as these RWS did.

Nice rifle by the way .

Stay safe.

I've also had decent results with RWS pellets. I try to keep a number of the Meisterkugelns, Basics, and Hobbys. I use the Meisterkugeln rifle pellets, not the pistol pellets of the same name.
