LaRue backorder times?

I ordered some stuff from LaRue, then got an email that the order status had been changed to "back ordered". If anyone recently experienced a back order from LaRue tactical, can you tell me how long was your wait?
 
Well, I ordered a Stealth barrel and RAT stock on June 30th. The stock just arrived Monday, almost 6 months later, and the receipt in the packaging said the barrel is still backordered.
 
I ordered some triggers a 45 days ago or so, I think they are being shipped to me currently and it looks like directly from their machine shop as the tracking states "Austin Precision Products" which is in Leander, TX with LaRue.
 
I spoke with a fellow today who was picking up his Larue stripped lower, said he ordered the upper at the same time and they told him it was still three or four months out.
 
One week from backorder notice to shipped for a Burris MTAC and mount, called in to inquire about an upper kit, they said 6-7 months from when you place the order. I received the scope 2 weeks after ordering. I'm in line for the upper.
 
That all very likely depends on what is being ordered from them...
For example, range bags and similar likely ship faster than hardware.
 
4months for an ultimate upper kit.

Going to order an optic and mount tonight. They don't bill until it ships. I use them because I know I'm getting authentic optics and mounts, not knockoffs. Trijicons website says they're backlogged on everything.

And they've finally stopped using the ''steal me'' Larue marked box tape. Yay.
 
I received a upper yesterday and the box does have the Larue name on the tape.
Anyone know what the current wait time is for a Larue stripped lower? Thanks.

I ordered a Vortex Viper with an LT-104 and their MBT2S Flat Bow trigger on March 14th. I got the "Backordered" email on the 15th and the customer service rep indicated all triggers and mounts were at 6-8 weeks back order. I'll check back in if I receive some of all of my order faster than that.
 
If you cant wait, ADM makes awesome mounts too. Often a bit cheaper, and great quality.

(Not a larue hater, I own a few of thier mounts)
 
Update on ultimate upper kit, ordered mid Jan, was told expect it in July... received the kit March 25. Love it.
 
Got an email yesterday afternoon, April 7, saying the order was complete and got a tracking number. Tracking shows expected delivery of April 9. So just shy of 4 weeks total.

Looks like a case of "under promise, over deliver" which is fine by me.
 
I just recently got a back ordered Ultimate Upper Kit from July 2019- Granted it was the 20" barrel that took forever to get done but it took longer than any expectations ever....good news is they don't charge until it's ready to go. Unlike some of the other companies.

Contacted LaRue (email) on March 11, 2021 inquired about "available" triggers. Their sales suggested "MBT 2S"
Went online and placed order (the web site says nothing about triggers being back ordered. This was/is deceiving :(
Placed order for trigger March 12, 2021. Like OP, got immediate email trigger was on back order :fire: but email gave no indication of delivery time.
Sent email inquiry on March 26 asking for expected delivery. Received response stating "minimum of 8-10 weeks from order to ship for the triggers"
IMPO: They should update their web site to honestly reflect these delays.
If I'm lucky it will get to me end of May, 2021. Fingers crossed and hoping because it's the last part I need for my build.
 
I ordered a both a 2S curved and straight trigger. The straight arrived within a week, but the curved was placed on backorder and has not arrived yet, although it’s only been a couple weeks.

It is deceiving as I noticed the same thing. I am confident that LaRue isn’t purposely trying to deceive customers. However, it would be nice if the website notified you of the item’s backorder status on the product page or before checking out instead of sending an email notifying of the backorder status after placing an order. This would be particularly disappointing if one is on a tight timeline and ordered something that appeared to be in stock.
