I have a Crosman 2100 with a scope that is really accurate to about 30 yds. I use it to take the sparrows off of the the blue bird houses and starlings out of the friut trees and it!s plenty good for that, but what I need is something that will take down a little bigger vermin cleanly. Looking at some of the nitro piston break barrels in .22. I need a scope, that's a given, and I'd need it to print about an inch at 30 yds consistantly if I do my part. If anyone has a combo that will do that throw some suggestions at me and I'll go look. Currently eyeballing a Crosman Shockwave .22 combo. Anybody got one of those?

Rifle and scope combos are generally a come on for the rifle. The scope often leaves much to be desired.
Your best bet is to look into an HW30 and a Hawke scope. It is probably more than you want to spend BUT you will never look back and the combo will give you exactly what you are looking for.
I skimped on my first air guns. They are all sold now and I went top shelf on the rest. It was the best shooting sport move I ever made.

You can't lose with this gun. A D34 clone. Awesome accurate and a nice trigger. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

This precision pellet gun is designed to provide a high level of accuracy and good power at an affordable price without compromising fit and finish. Features like the very well designed adjustable trigger and fiber optic sights on this rifle provide great bang for the buck that is hard to beat, and puts the performance of this rifle right alongside that of rifles costing twice as much.

Why not look into 25 cal pcp? Pellets are harder to come by but not impossible. Will extend max range and hits harder then 22.

Cost, support equipment, more difficult to source ammo. I am not poo pooing a PCP gun but you gotta know what you are getting into.

The HW30 is a phenomenal rifle but probably a little too small/under powered for the OP.

I think the D34/D34 cloneis a fantastic suggestion and a nice sweet spot for quality, cost, power, trigger, ease of use. I believe combos are available but just buy and mount a decent UTG or Hawke scope in the $100-$150 range and you will have plenty good glass that will stand up to a spring gun. I also suggest a 1 piece mount.

Nitro piston guns, in my experience are louder and can be a bit harder to cock.

I don’t generally like most of the Chinese made guns (they are not all crap to be sure but I do believe you will get a better product going German) and most of your spring Crosman’s, Ruger’s , big box guns are Chinese made. Again not all are crap but I think you can do better and still stay reasonable budget wise and as said I would look at a Diana 34 but the D34 clones are not all bad. Also flying dragon is good to go. Have Mike tune it for you and I think you will be very happy.
