20 Years?

I guess I've been prattling on here for almost 15 years. My first couple of years I was a stay-at-home Dad and THR was my adult-male bonding outlet. Then I began my 3rd new 'adult' career as a state correctional officer---where I now have just over 7 years to go to retirement. While I'm on here less these days this remains the one board I bother with or recommend to others. As then as it is now, as Hemingway would have said----THR is "A Clean, well-lighted place."

I joined THR in 2013... but lurked about in the shadows for quite a while before first posting.

I have been on the GB forums since 2009. I’ll occasionally go back and peruse the threads, maybe add something here or there... but not too often.

I was given my first gun in 1977 at age 10, bought my first rifle at 18 in 1985 and first handgun at 21 in 1988.

Since I literally picked up another S&W .38 just yesterday, after the 10-day wait in the regulatory penalty box ended, and started a new 10-day wait on a .22 rifle at the same time, I can honestly say I have never really stopped buying guns... and I probably never will. :)

Stay safe.

That made me wonder what coincided with my birth year. Apparently the Polish PM-63 RAK was officially adopted by Polish military and police in 1965.

Officially adopted?

No freakin' way.

"You'll put your eye out with one of those things." --Ralphie's mother.

I'm officially a member of "The Crescent Club," where a scope ocular cuts you above the eye, and that was dicey enough for me, thank you. (My first shot with a CF rifle. The owner had just warned me about being too close to the scope and BLAM OW! EFF!)

My first reloading equipment included a Webster powder scale with an oil-dipped damping paddle, a Webster powder measure, and a huge RCBS press powerful enough to swage bullets. Hence, "Rock Chucker Bullet Swaging" (RCBS) press.

In the Navy at one point I managed and ran an AN/UYK-62 Mainframe (reel to reel backups)
Still work in computers, software and networks today at 62 everything is in the cloud now.

Been a member 10 years, but lurked for a while before joining.

It would be kind of cool to get a bulk order together snd have starline make us commemorate headstamped brass. Imagine the fun we could have voting on the cartridge - has to be something popular in 2002 and 2021 so the Creedmore crowd is out of luck :neener:
ACP is my vote
