Bought a pound of Unique at my LGS today for $37.29 + tax. They had most of the "Dot" powers but when I saw Unique I quit looking at the others. The young owner told me "I get primers nest week" and I got all excited until he said "only shotgun primers". I told him that was a start and not to apologize for getting anything he could.
I feel better tonight!

it’s coming back man! this whole nightmare will be a blip in the history book. But don’t forget to stock up when cheap!

Well I'm not gonna count my chickens until the blip is over.
what if I told you the ammo manufacturers are also tired of the primer shortage and decided to build their own primer factories. 3 new Factories! will that help with the chicken count?

If you told me that they started building those plants three years ago and all three are going online in the next month ready to crank out primers specifically for reloaders then yes.

what if I told you they will be online by the end of summer! This will free up Primers from the main players to sell to reloaders. We are always the low man on the pole. Just a thought, not trying to convince anybody of anything, just to slow panicking and don’t over pay.

Yesterday I put a couple of lbs of Accurate #5 in my cart, just instinct.

Then I thought “do you really need that?” And never checked out.

Today I did purchase 8lbs of a rifle powder I use for 3 calibers.

I think I went from grabbing what’s available to getting what I need.....in quantity.

The only powder I really want, but not need is 3N37 and 3n38, but not going to pay gouge prices on an already expensive powder or hazmat on 1lb.

I haven't bought anything in a couple months now as I've balanced out my stock and I'm too stingy to pay elevated prices 'just in case'...

I've definitely seen an improvement in the availability of powder. Accurate brand powders especially seem to be routinely available in quantity, albeit going quickly.

Primers remain comparatively elusive in my experience.

I have been really hoping to find RL 23. Alliant powders dont seem to come available as often as the others.

The only powder I've bought recently was some H4198 because my IMR4198 was done. Yes, I paid The Man for the limit 2, plus HazMat... but I have it. I won't be doing that again until I can order 8# cans like normal, or I'll buy it locally... but only for a fair price.

It seems like we are reaching a tipping point where things are settling back down, again... but it would not take much to send it back into the abyss.
