Looks great!!!!!

I hope you enjoy the scope :)

Definitely! Wasn't sure I was going to like the reticle but after seeing it I think it will be great. Also these rings are a bit higher than I like and it looks as though the Burris XTR Medium or the Weaver Tactical High will lower it down about 1/4" and fit better.

Thanks again and thanks to LoonWulf for pointing me in your direction with this scope!

30mm barrel with 60mm bell:
1.35" high rings (35mm) put the bell +5mm above the mounting rail (weaver or picatinny).
1.20" high rings (30mm) put the bell 0mm above the mounting rail (weaver or picatinny).
1.00" high rings (25mm) put the bell -5mm above (5mm below) the mounting rail (weaver or picatinny).
0.8" high rings (20mm) put the bell -10mm above (10mm below) the mounting rail (weaver or picatinny).

56mm bell adds +2mm to the above calculations. I bought 1" high rings for my scope with 30mm barrel, 56mm bell. My mount is a 10mm high pincatinny rail on a varmint profile barrel so I could have gone with the 0.8" but I was chicken. [/QUOTE]

Yeup you did! Still I was getting so many conflicting reports and information from the Ring Manufactures that I decided to just buy some cheap ones from WallyWorld and fit everything together and measure for myself. From what I am told the Weaver Tactical 30mm High measure 28mm as to the Burris XTR 30mm Medium which are 6mm shorter then what I have on now.

I will add that this exercise has taught me a lot about scopes, rings and bases and the manufacturers themselves.

Had to work the 300yd range today and we were absolutely slow so I was able to bring out the rifle with the new scope. Set up a single 17.5"X22" bullseye target at 200yards. These targets have a 6' red bull with a 4" white center. First three shots with just a bore sight were all in the red, next three were outside the red center and low left. Six shots on paper at 200yards with just a bore sight. o_O:thumbup:

Now this was with those rings that are just way too high. Another RO happen to have another set of 30mm rings that are shorter so we quickly swapped them out. After that for some reason I had a very hard time getting it back on paper and just about ran out of ammunition but we did finally get it back into the red and had to quit!

Now I need to load up more and get back to testing and adjusting.

Once again I finally was able to sit down at a bench and work out this new scope. So I took a 12" splatter target and set it up at 100yds First 3 were slightly low but 3" left. made an adjustment and the next 3 were center cut. So I quite that and proceeded to testing a good number of loads (10) and turned this scope down to 20X and even at 100yds I could see the 22cal holes in the paper.

I had great fun shooting this gun today with this new scope. Only issue is that I think it could still use some shorter rings. Still feels high.

The sky today was bright with moving clouds so would go from bright to overcast and back to bright. Scope did very well in this condition.

Once again a gracious Thank You to Pahonix for the fine deal on this scope and thank you to LoonWulf for pointing me to it!

Congrats , glad to see you have plenty of power . I bet you are glad you did not listen to those guys telling you more power was not needed in your other thread ?

Yes,if I can see 22cal holes at 100yards I should be able to clearly see a 1" dot at 300yds.

I learned what I needed to about using Varget for this 223. Didn't have much success but I did shoot two loads with BL-C2 that look very promising.
