i have a Model 10 that I want to put a lanyard loop on. I have a NOS GP35 loop along with the appropriate tap. The grip frame is approximately .355" wide and the outside thread width of the loop is .162". Is the grip frame wide enough to maintain structural integrity with that lanyard loop mounted?

If it'll help, the loop shaft (which is pinned not threaded) on my Victory Model is 0.216" across and the frame at that point is 0.359" which leaves 0.072" of meat either side.

I think you'll be OK with that. There were factory installed lanyard loops on some M10s built for certain contracts. Your biggest issue will probably be dodging the serial number with the hole.

I have been wanting to do the exact same thing, but haven't been able to find any loops anywhere.

Hi,
Used to be, one could order a lanyard screw from Hogue to use with one of their replacement grips. So I did, for several Rugers. Now, Hogue no longer has them, and I don't have any extras. But I finally found the correct google phrase to use, which is "lanyard loop screw". Use that for a search on google and you will find a bunch of relevant possibles. By the way, I spent most of this afternoon looking for a lanyard screw to send you (from my workshop), but no luck. Hoping you find what you want,

I came across a Victory Model that had the loop removed. I put one back in but had to mill out the plug first.
