CCI blazer 9mm at Natchez

I just got that. I don't NEED it, but it does provide a strong indicator that ammo availability is surging and prices are retreating. Pricing, to me, is getting better, slowly, but even week to week, the PACE of price decreases seems to be increasing. Thus, given that I've got about 2k of 9mm, I'll hold off, because this great deal THESE DAYS, will likely become a so-so deal in a month, pricey in 2-3 months, and flat-out no deal in 6 months.

Fair point. I suspect it will be gone quite soon. But just the fact that they advertised and can make this "deal" is telling.

I recently ordered 500 Blazer for $295 w/ S&H. But that's a great bit of news considering free shipping.

I've been watching this particular listing at Natchez pretty regularly since last summer. In the past year this box has been in stock rarely and sold out in minutes. I was happy to see it come back in stock recently, stay in stock for a few days, then come back in stock again quickly. No need to buy anytime soon but I see this as a positive indicator of ammo availability.

Yep. And I wasn't being snarky if seemed that way. I don't even shoot 9mm. Just curious to see if it sells for that.

Target Sports USA has it in stock for $299.99/1000 with free shipping

I didn't see any just now. Maybe it sold out. The only thing I'm actively watching for is 20 dollar a brick junk shotgun shells for the kids to shoot clays with. Walmart was always my go to. They have been out for a year......

That is encouraging. Thanks. Such news helps calm the more nervous people, possibly reducing their paranoia and desire to grab anything they see.

The recent (?) box limits Per Customer (at Academy etc) must have made constant buying by ammo flippers less worthwhile.

YES let’s highlight every single last sale on ammo and direct the hoarders in so we can perpetuate this shortage for eternity!

Keep it up guys good work!

I think publicizing it will clear things faster. Stacked high and deep in ammo cans, eventually people will slow or stop their buying. Prices will have to retreat, as they have been doing, as demand and supply meet somewhere for a drink.

If I were a re seller I would take note how the price is going down, and availability is going up. I would stop buying so that I wasn't stuck with a bunch of 10 dollar ammo I paid 30 dollars a box for to sell.

But I don't shoot 9mm and I haven't bought any ammo in over a year either. And that was just because it was cheap by the case back then.....

299 for 500. Not 1k. Unless I'm missing something
Gone now anyway so it doesn't matter, but others have been added. I bought mine from them back when Speer lawman was .16/each when you bought by the case of 1000.............should have bought a pallet instead of several K.............

It's all good. I don't care about 9 other than using at a barometer for the other calibers. Even i would like to see it 299/1k again. And even that is higher than just a few years back. Double even.

January 2020 wasn't exactly a few years back, but may as well be. Steel 9x19 Tula was available $120 for 1000 rounds or $160 for brass Perfecta with free shipping from many stores.

Sorry if I ruffled anyone's feathers, I was trying to be nice to the THR folks that might want to take advantage of the Natchez deal, just as others have let people know when they see ammo or reloading items available.

I didn't/don't need any 9mm, got the email, and I thought I would let the THR folks know. I have been reading for quite a while on here of folks that could not find any so thought I would give the THR brethren a heads up. I can tell you that there have been a couple times when someone posted about bullets or reloading supplies being available and I appreciated them letting people here know about it. I have 3 lbs of BP in the cabinet now that I would not have if not for a heads up on THR a month or so ago.

Natchez did have a one box per day maximum on the offer, I assume to stop the hoarders, and it looks like they still have some left as of 5 minutes ago, I agree .55 a round is a bit high for blazer in normal times, but if you need it, it is better than the prices we were seeing not too long ago.

As for availability, I tend to agree, I am starting to see more and more ammo show up at the local gun stores and online at closer to normal prices. Several stores are selling locally, bullets, primers, etc at Pre-pandemic prices when they get it, limiting quantities of course, one LGS I was in today in Reno, had several boxes of federal 45 ACP and 38s just sitting on a shelf today. Also looked to have some old milspec also.

Hopefully things are trending the right direction, maybe we will eventually see some of the more esoteric rounds showing up again, and some percussion caps (go big green).

Dave

If the vendors are sending out email notification , then mentioning it here doesn’t make much difference.
The cat is well out of the bag.
