There is actually a reason for that... to prevent crushing.

Completely off topic... when I was a truck driver, I picked up a load of chips from FritoLay here in Dallas, going to Seattle. They routed me... and more importantly paid me... to run west to LA, then north up the 5 to WA... because the direct line, through CO, WY, etc. had too high elevations through the mountains... all the chip bags would have blown open.

Didn’t put much weight in a 53’ dry van either....a good way to put it on it’s side when you’re in these parts! ;) memtb

Was the OP pointing out the PPU bullets were way overpriced, or that the bag of PPU bullets was priced at half of the Sierras so they’re a better deal?

I never did get the gist of the original post.

Stay safe.

I believe he was pointing out that since the plinking bullets were the same price per round as the match bullets, it made purchasing the Sierra's a no brainer.

Still, 50 cpr is a high price even on the Sierra's, but I'd pay it if I needed bullets that very day. Otherwise, I'd find better pricing online and order in bulk.

Uhhh, those are the exact same price per bullet.
Darned close, but nope. Check your calculator. $24.99 + $24.99 = $49.98. 49.98 divided by 50 comes out to .9996, while 49.99 divided by 50 comes out to .9998.;) Nevertheless, because I'd never heard of the other brand, I'd buy the Sierras even thought they cost .0002 cents apiece more - that is IF I needed 30 caliber bullets, which I don't.

In the grocery stores the price is broken down to cost of each unit for low info consumers. We on the otherhand can reason and calculate with the best of them (hopefully:scrutiny:).
To me it comes down to economics of use. What will be an exceptable accuracy at the range used to get the job done. That's why I like REM Cor-Lokt bullets as they are inexpensive minute of deer or hog bullets at 100 YDS or less with good expantion.:D

Well, if you get down to the nitty gritty, the PPUs are $23.32/lb and the Sierras are $20.83/lb. So, the Sierras are obviously a bargain that any savvy shopper couldn't pass up. ;)
