Anyone care to offer some impressions with theirs? I'm really tempted to get one, it feels nice in the hand the trigger seems decent enough.

Recoil similar to a 365/Hellcat?

Love mine. Comfortable to carry and shoot. Bullets go where I aim. Nice sights, and IF I ever decide to try an optic, the slide is already cut. I never thought a gun could replace my Glock 43, but the MAX 9 has. I have also added the LCP MAX as a pocket companion…also a good shooter.

I bought the LCP Max, great little pocket gun. Been playing with Max-9s and am thinking the same thing.

I've had my Max-9 for a couple months, I really like it. I ordered a Holosun 507k for it as soon as I got notice it was being delivered to my LGS. Two clicks up on the optic and it cowitnessed fine and was right on POI. I ordered 2 12-round mags, the only place I found them was at Ruger, but got 10% off. Simply Rugged holsters and Alien Gear holsters have already started making holsters for them, the Alien Gear shell actually covers the front of the optic.

From reports I've been reading, the trigger is hit or miss on the Max, with some reports of rough gritty, higher than normal pull weight and creep. Mine wasn't bad out of the box with a 4-3/4 pull but did have what I felt as excessive creep. What I did was true up and polish the striker to sear contact surfaces, which was very simple to do, and now the trigger pull is 4 pounds and smooth as glass. The wall to break distance hasn't changed but does feel like a whole new, much improved trigger.

I’m waiting for max-9 prices to drop, or to find a used one. It’s a pretty impressive gun in the hand. For the price difference I think I would end up buying an EC9 if buying new, but the max is pretty impressive and would be worth paying the difference I’m sure.

Never thought I would ever see something like this in print.
I have the Security 9 Pro. I looked at the Max but I didn’t see or feel +$200 difference.

I don’t like how far forward the trigger sits. When I get mine, I’m definitely getting the flat faced Galloway trigger.

My wife and I both like ours and I received my 2 12 round mags from Ruger yesterday. I do like the larger mags as they add to the grip. Still debating on which holster to use. I have several Cross Bread holsters that I carry with now depending on what gun I carry. I do like the inside the waist best as they conceal the best for me.

I picked one up last week at my LGS. It was priced at $419. I was carrying my original LC9 in a Bianchi OWB holster. The Ruger Max 9 fit right in the same holster.

It's a bit wider, otherwise, about the same dimensions. I gave it a cleaning and a quick once over, then shot about 300 rounds. It has a great trigger, but I've been carrying an LC9 sometimes, so... It fired flawlessly and hit exactly where I aimed. Seems like a good weapon for ccw for me when I feel like something other then a wheel gun.

The same trip I also picked up a Ruger LCP2 22 LR. I had seen them and heard about them so after handing one at the LGS I took that home too. I was carry an original LCP as a BUG, if I'm not carrying my 442, in an ankle holster.

The LCP 2 22 LR shot great and ran flawlessly. The one problem is it only came with one hard to load mag, so I have a couple of 2 packs on order. Over all I think it will replace my Taurus PT 22 for pocket carry varmint-er around the farm.
