My active response to negative criticism of Gunbroker is not to bitch and moan but to write to the President of Ammo Inc, which is Gunbroker's parent / owner company: The text of my letter follows:

Mr. Robert J. Goodmanson, President
Ammo Inc
7681 East Gray Road
Scottsdale, AZ, 85260

Mr. Goodmanson:

I'm an Ammo Inc shareholder and an active Gunbroker account holder. I'm also an active participant on firearms and Second Amendment online public discussion forums.

I'm writing to you because it's been my observation that Gunbroker receives overwhelmingly negative opinion expression in these forums. That's not been my own personal experience with Gunbroker and it seems I end up being an online apologist for the site. No doubt some of the negative expression is simply sour grapes, but I think some of the complaints are legitimate and are deserving of a fair hearing.

Therefore I'm writing to you to make the following suggestion: that you assign several of your executive subordinates in the company to a project to do two things and then to report back to you:

1) Register for a Gunbroker account and execute multiple transactions using the platform.

2) Participate in one or more online firearms forums and engage in discussions involving Gunbroker and all other topics they find interesting.

Thank you for considering my suggestion for a better Ammo Inc and a better Gunbroker and I wish both you and my company continued success.

Regards,

Good idea, it will be interesting to see if he follows up with you. My experiences with Gunbroker, though not as voluminous as others, have all been positive. I ignore the scalpers.

Gunbroker is just a tool, like Ebay. Use at your own discretion. Don't project larger agendas on the platform. They're not the regulators of the gun world.
