The Canik series is even cheaper - I picked up a TP9SF which is NATO certified - a 55,000 round test - and approved in Europe for military use. I retails for about $400 when you can find one. Two mags and a holster, too. Girsan is comparable, and now that Gen 3 Glock patents have expired, makers are coming up with those under their brand. Most are quite capable and well made.

Handguns cloned off of well proven designs are common, in America we traditionally don't see many as our distribution to retail stores changes slowly. They have to be sought on the internet and a much smaller group of independent gun shops.

Kinda like SIG's HK's, Walthers, etc in the old days. Walk into a gun store in the 1980s and the case was mostly full of revolvers. The lone auto was a 1911, a few S&W's. You usually would not find many of the early wondernines in small town gun stores. I had a 92SF years before I was issued one.

Now the wondernines are all staid old timer brands and the new kids on the block are here. The wheel of life goes round and round.

".455_Hunter, post: 12020613, member: 17755"]Is really any difference between any of the current full size 9mm polystrikers?

Yes. The MASADA is "Much more than just another striker-fired pistol"

"IWI MASADA 9mm polymer framed striker-fired pistol was developed in order to provide an advanced solution to the modern battlefield requirements. MASADA’s frame is made of high strength, impact resistant fiberglass reinforced polymers.

Like all IWI firearms, it is built to withstand and endure all types of military use and abuse in extremely harsh environmental conditions."

I went to go look at a Ruger 57 a LGS had and the Masada caught my eye.
I’ve read a few reviews and the only thing I’m concerned with is the long trigger take up and reset. Has anyone had trigger work done on their Masada?
The long line of buyers in front of me were all having their 4473’s come back “no response” and it was getting near closing time, so I paid a deposit on the 57 to take it out of the case (they only had 1) and will go back next week to finish the transfer. I’m wondering if I should take the Masada home as well?
