I don't know where to start with Biker Doc. I first had actual friendship built a few year back when he sold me a THR Anniversary knife ! I stuck it in my collectible knives and it will pass down. I was greatful he sold it to me as I missed the original sale even tho I been on forms a decade or more before. He said the money helped him at the time.
I got to know and trust him and we are very similar , all tho he is nicer than I am , he helped me with that. I think he was selfless and helped alot of people. He had a life well lived despite of the crap he faced. RIP Doc, I am shocked and a little depressed ( I don't get "depressed" very easily) just finding this out. Any way it looks there are times coming, very quickly, that won't let us oldies have very "golden years" if we love what America stood for and accomplished despite mistakes along the way. In a way I envy his current position . I'll be with you soon Doc and no more distance or time restraints to enjoy fellowship .

@hso do you think we could rename the "What was the last knife you bought?" thread to the "Bikerdoc Memorial What Was the Last Knife You Bought?" thread and sticky it to the Non-firearm Weapons subforum? Seems kind of appropriate given the longevity of that thread, longevity of his membership and contributions, and that he was the OP for it.

Now that is a great idea.
+1 !!!

Sad to hear of his passing. There have been quite a few lately. May he rest in peace and prayers to his family. He is in a better place than the rest of us now. Didn't know him, but enjoyed his posts.

Let us know if there is a place to help.

Guys,

Doc and I were close friends in the real world (so much so we were exchanging texts on his last day). He wouldn't want to be "enshrined" in a thread about what people bought. He was about life and living it (and about THR and its vision). RC was a collector of things, Doc was about doing. We'll keep this thread stickied for a year and then look to honor him again this time next year. Until then, honor his memory by following his example.
