A while back RMR had some brass FMJ bullets which I now read on their site that they don’t make in house. Anyway I finally loaded some up and I’m getting a lot of brass streaks in my rifling. Glocks and P320. So far that’s the only guns I’ve shot them in. It doesn’t clean out very easily. Has anyone else used these? Similar experiences? I also have some in house produced Bullets from them but haven’t used them yet. I’m not liking what I’m seeing with these.

Aren’t those hornady 55 grain? I bought some 62 grain Hornady from them. These are some type of imported brass plated .355 124 grain.

My last order was Magtech 55 grains, Before that i forget the brand. But they were 55 grains too. Copper plated bullets will strip the plating if you run them to fast. Use cast data when loading them.

I've used those bullets, made by Montana Gold. There were bright yellow streaks in the barrels of every pistol I shot them from. And, you're correct, they're not easily cleaned out.

Interesting. Brass is copper and zinc and harder than the base metal, copper. Why the harder alloy would "streak" (leave deposits) and the softer alloy wouldn't is a little odd. I bought some .355" 124gr. Montana Gold Bonded BJHP back before Remington started putting bonded jacketed Golden Sabers on the market (2016???) and have found they leave a tell-tale in the bore but, it comes out pretty easily with Sweet's. I'm pretty sure the tell-tale is not any worse than copper - brass deposits are copper-alloy deposits, after all - and any decent copper scrubber should remove them. If not, Flitz or Brasso will do it! ;)

Interesting. I have some of their 38 bullets. Website doesn’t say who makes them, but they look a lot like the ones you are referring to. Their in house brass bullets seem to have a slightly different look to the base. I’ll load a bunch and see what happens…
