Been using a LEE die for years, Along with diluted Lee case lube. Never had an issue, But people like to spend more and whine about Lee.
Heck I spritz all my brass .

Go to Homers or Lowes and buy some wire pulling lube, Dilute it with alcohol and you will have enough for 10 lifetimes and the whole neighborhood!

Making popcorn now for a best case lube thread!:what:

I bought a cheap spray bottle of cleaner at Walmart a few years ago for 99 cents, dumped the cleaner and used the spray bottle for my Lanolin/ Dry Gas mix.
I marked the spray bottle with a black sharpie at 4 1/2 inches and another mark at 5 inches .

Fill it up to the 4 1/2 inch mark with the Dry Gas then fill it up to the five inch mark with the liquid lanolin.
I shake it up a little before useing.
It's a whole lot cheaper the One Shot spray.

These threads are weird… guy is having an uncommon problem with common products, so advice becomes to try food products, rather than fixing the real problem….?

I’m a Hornady One Shot user. I hydroform with it, I neck down and push back with it (case forming), I full length brass up to big magnums and as small as Fireball and 223/5.56/300blk with it. I load around 10k rifle rounds per year with it… if I started sticking cases, I’d immediately replace my dies - because it’s absolutely no fault of the lube.

Kinda looks like you are not getting much lube on the case. I use imperial for 95% of my rifle sizing. Rub your thumb and forefinger with was and rub on case and I rub my thumb in rim to help inside neck. Lanolin and alcohol are way easier but imo can't beat the imperial. If it isn't working you are not getting lube on the case.

I miss bacon. :( I get the turkey bacon. But it is no where the same. As a side note. Bacon fat makes a great water proof-fer for boots.
3 soft boiled eggs a day will keep you from getting dementia! your brain is 70% cholesterol

Bacon fat mix with in 99% alcohol!!!

I’m going to try again on my good Ole’ Rock Chucker. See if it’s the die, I’m going to use a good amount of LUBE. If that doesn’t work. Polish the insides!

Maybe not a good amount. Just a uniform amount rub on and you know when you have enough. I don't use it as much for 223 as for other rifle cartridges I load cause it is sloooow. The lanolin and heat work ok for 223, I always seem to add an extra spritz and get a few neck dents but oh well I shoot 223 for steel, fun and noise anyway.

Hornady Unique I guessing? I like that for pistol brass.

Yes, Hornady Unique. I use it one the outside and about every 5-10 cases I wipe it across the mouth. If I get too much on/in the mouth I use a q-tip or pipe cleaner to try to get it out. I use Hornady One Shot for all my pistol brass.

I may give the Unique a try next time I load pistol.

Lee dies are what they are. I have several and use them. But when I recently stuck a 9mm case in the sizing die, rather than spend what Lee charges to unstick it, or buy a replacement from them, I spent an extra few dollars and ordered an RCBS sizing/decapping die. It may be a small quality difference, but in this case, when I do a lot of volume, I would want the better one.

Still collecting .223, haven't started processing it yet. I have only done a few small batches of rifle cases, I tried the roller pad/brush inside the case necks method, and I decided it's too messy and time consuming. I put the cases in a ziploc bag, spray some One Shot into it, shake it, and call it good. That seems to get the exterior of the cases and inside the necks just enough.
