Title of that article states "...could face challenge from Allen West." I believe when it I see it. We've seen these teasers before. WLP ain't goin' nowhere.
NOPE! dude will sell everything in the NRA museum to pay the law firm before he sees one minute in prison

Did you donate your collection to the NRA museum? yeah, it’s gone

Again Wayne is the corrupt puppet. He was McQueens lackey to loot the members money and other leaders joined in because there was no accountability to the membership because the board is basically way to large and just rubber stamps what leadership tells them to

They must be getting desperate. I was being left relatively alone (a $ plea about once a month) for a year or so. I was annual from '62 til '78. Then Life, Patron, Endowment and Benefactor in relatively short order. Lately, over the past few months I get a new special offer a couple times a week. Just got a certificate suitable for framing with some high end Esgley name if I commit to some ungodly payment plan.
I've been sending money to a few other "working" organizations like the ISRA. At 77 and on fixed income I expect something for my gifts other than lawsuits. I gotta pay for trap fees, taxes, food, and grandkid stuff, too. And my tithe.

I never hear from them except for the magazine and the month before elections. Allen West would be good for the organization but doesn't have enough "siege power" to dislodge an "oligarch" (hey, the newsmedia loves that term) from a 30 year position. Joe

I will continue to be a 35$ per year member until Wayne is gone. I tell this to every person who calls from the NRA my extra cash will go to the GOA.
That's not a bad strategy. Politicians fear the NRA; they don't fear GOA, SAF et al. NRA has the longevity and name recognition the other groups don't have. (What those groups do have is efficacy.) Your strategy lets a person support that name recognition while, in a more meaningful way, support more impactful organizations.

You've done enough. It's okay to pass the torch to those grandkids. I kind of wonder how many members (of any of the pro 2A groups) are under 40.

Just a kicker, if SCOTUS comes through with a really powerful pro RKBA decision that might predict a good one on AWB, mag bans. Then the political gun rights impetus for membership will take a dramatic hit. So their time in the sun might be setting.

You might be right, but that might not be a good thing. If your prediction comes true, the "other side" is going to pour money into this issue like you won't believe. As an example, I'm pretty sure this is going to be a record breaking income year for Planned Parenthood. Giffords, Mom's, Everytown, et al could (and likely will) see the same kind of windfall.

But if that happens, so be it. I'm sick of this fight, and I just need it resolved once and for all, or at least once for the next generation or so.
