What did you shoot today?

I had found the rear sight of the G33 a little bit too far moved over and adjusted that a few days ago. I also had to adjust the front sight again and eyeballed it. At 25 yards I was about a quarter of an inch to the left shooting offhand.

I shot a 3" M13 with service grips at 10 yards and will put decent grips on before the next outing. S&W factory wood grips have always been fitting very few hands, mine are not among it and a three inch group of 12 rounds sucks!

The HK Expert had been cleaned and lubed and is a charm when it comes to accuracy but the shock came when I shot the SIG Sauer P365, my daily carry, drawing from concealment and doing some double taps: close up and dirty at 5 yards I shot it as well as the HK Expert.

Shot my local Steel Challenge today with my S&W 617. It was a challenging match to say the least. It only hit 110 degrees and even though I was well hydrated I almost hit the ground when I finally got home and got out of the car.

The heat got to me. I missed my average by about 40 seconds. Had a difficult time concentrating towards the end and should have given up but I'm too stubborn.

I'm a glutton for punishment because I already signed up for next week when the temperature should be even hotter. More water/Gatorade and cooling towels for sure.

Just 6 rounds of a 240 grain Nosler JHP over 19.5 grains of 2400
and 6 rounds of Sierra 240 grain JHC over 21 grains of 2400 both touched off by Winchester WLP's through my fairly new to me 1991 six inch Colt Anaconda.

No pictures as the bugs (sandflies, blackflies, gnats or whatever you want to call 'em) nearly carried me away, even with a liberal dosing of bug-dope.

Wanted to shoot more but no need to have my lunch at the range, if you know what I mean!

Spent a little time at the indoor range with my 617 and Black Mamba.

I fired 200 rounds of Norma Tac 22 out of the Mamba and I'm very pleased with the way it shoots. I had no failures and had a decent group. Love the difference in recoil compared to CCI Mini Mags.

Putting away the Mamba I took out my S&W 617 with a new pair of Hogue Miculek grips. I've been working a lot with my style and I think I like these the bests so far. I had to do a little whittling to get them to work with my DS-10 Speed Loaders but I now have the clearance I need.

Fired about 200 rounds of CCI Blazer and did quite well. Even with the harder primer compound on the Blazers I had no misfires. I've really been working on the gun to work with these bullets figuring if it will set off Blazers it will set off anything.

A Sig 550. This was a first.
A member of the club let me shoot his buddy's. I don't know the exact model. The guy who borrowed it from the nearby friend didn't know anything about the sights.

He selected a very wide and deep V notch rear sight setting, but by random chance I allowed the tip of the post to be just a fraction of the total distance above the V's "bottom" (you follow me?) and I somehow managed to hit within inches of a plastic bottle at 100 yards.

The trigger, in my "opinion" (context: my PTR triggers aren't bad) is pretty decent.

He was already rather familiar with the PTR-91s when he picked up my classic GI to use it.
