Depends, iirc e tip I s all copper, so longer than a standard cup and core bullet. What is your rifle twist rate? How much free bore does your barrel have? What length is your magazine as that is a determining factor in col. Either bullet should work on deer but the e tip likely needs a higher velocity for expansion down range which limits its range some.

My grandaughters, savage m11 has a mag length of nearly 3 inches but free bore is shorter, found that in this rifle a col of 2.675 in this rifle produced the best accuracy with 100 gr hornandy btsp. It has a 22 inch barrel and a 1:9 in twist rate.

For me a 100 YD shot at a whitetail would be max and being a cheap SOB an inexpensive cup and core bullet like the Cor Lokt 100 grainers that I used for years fit the bill. Couple that with 4064 and I have a winner thats better than a chicken dinner!
About to run out of those pills though so here's hoping Remington produces them for reloaders again.

I have been running 95gr b tips with 4350 for years out of the old model 600. Dad bought me that rifle when I was a kid. My boys still hunt with it today. Never lost a deer or had to chase one...

If they don't I've had great results with hornandy 100 gr interlock btsp. Accurate and deadly on game.
