What did you shoot today?

Heritage revolving rifle, .22 magnum. I couldn't hit outside the center ring unless I tried. Man, I like that gun! First time I'd shot it since I got it back from a warranty repair.

NAA Earls, 3" and 4". Targets looked like I'd shot at them with a 20 gauge.

Wife shot her Bearcat, and as usual, blew out the center. New shooter. I'm impressed.

I went shooting for three days in a row with the same gun, an older FN 150 International. The build quality is excellent and in my old gun club the unbroken record in a half match was 299/300, shot with a club owned gun. My results in the past days were not satisfactorily. I shoot at an indoor range with a black background and bright lighting right over the shooting stall. Shooting at smaller targets had made it impossible for me to see the rear sight of match pistol sights and I had vertical stringing.
I shot an Anschutz 1416 and was in a stall where I could black out the light and did okay for an old man. The 5 high up left is typical for a shot I threw off even in my competitive days. Five shot in max 10 seconds at 25 yards but I cheated and shot with the left hand supporting the right hand:).

The Anschutz will need some work or more testing but I have often found the DST to work not so well offhand. The photo is of the gun with a scope but at 25 yards who needs a scope?

Hit my club's rifle & pistol ranges this morning. Finished zeroing the 1-4x Leupold on the 30-30. It's gonna be a back-up scope for the Vortex Strike Eagle in case the Vortex craps out this fall. Now it's time to put the Vortex back on. Here's the range shortly before 9 this A.M. IMG_6684.JPG . Also checked zero on the 870 slug gun so it should be good to go for shotgun zone come November. Then hit the pistol ranges and put numerous 38 Spl. & 357 Magnum handloads through the S&W 686 & Ruger Blackhawk along with 30 rounds of 9mm through the Glock 19.

Anderson home built 5.56 16" upper but using the cmmg 22lr conversion... Sighted in at 25 yards... 1/2" ctc groups using CCI tactical... They've never disappointed me in my conversions... Then moved over to the pecan grove inorder to pick up some stew meat running through the trees...

My Czechpoint VZ-58 is very similar to hers, other than their tactical grip and mine has the reddish furniture.

Also, a clone of her true HK-91, the PTR-91 (.308). The recoil is more moderate than they describe-they seem to shoot 7.62x39 rifles most of the time. My shoulders are skinny, and the PTR-91 is comfy to shoot with the standard butt stock..:D

Manca shoots here both Left and Right-handed. o_O

Manca and her friends with "Polenar Tactical" are in Slovenia, one of several Euro countries which very clearly - in stark Kontrast to US internet ignorance - allow operational semi-auto rifles in 'non-vip' civilian hands..

You can normally (also) see them at Shot Show in Las Vegas.......

A good day. Today a trip to the range. Using my Taurus G3C and my S&W 642-1. It was hot. Near 90.
Sorry, No pictures. I stopped using bulls eye targets a couple weeks ago. I started flipping the bulls eye target over so all I see is a white sheet. Center mass. I don't want to have to look for the bullseye. No certain center. Just in the middle. All of them.
Today was my best. 10 yards with my G3C. 10 out of 12 within 4in group. That's what I'm looking for. Center mass.
I was more happy with the G3C than the S&W. Not blaming the S&W. Just me. 20220831_141213.jpg

A 45 ACP flanked by 2 22LR.

0

70 rounds through the Ruger Mark IV bringing that round count up to 1060 for that pistol.

Just 36 rounds through the Kimber Rapide in 45 acp.
That makes 844 rounds through that.

And seven rounds through Mrs. Johnson's Beretta Bobcat 21A in 22 LR.

We had fun this afternoon!
First time this year I got the Mrs. out to do some shootin'!

Do not know her round count.......
