Anyone shoot this in .223 55grain VMax? If so, opinions? Looking for a range round with better performance than a standard FMJ range fodder. Thanks.

I don't know anything about them ...but some information for your use ...

I load the 55 gr. VMax and it is a very accurate bullet ... I pair the VMax with TAC, AA2230, W748, and my most accurate load using RL10X(Wow it is crazy expensive nowadays) .... I do sort my brass by brands ...

I had purchased a bunch the S&B primers from Cabelas when they were $17.99 a 1000... those paired with any of the powders ....make some really decent ammo...

IF the company you mentioned uses a suitable powder and proper sizing ...don't see any reason the ammo would not be workable... I suspect the brass will be mixed range brass unless otherwise noted ...

I'd say it's good to go. I actually know a guy that knows the owner and recommended the ammo to me. I just went through 200 rounds of that vmax stuff and it was MOA or better for me.

Just to qualify my above statement, I was only using a 6x scope so at 100 I had to take my time to get the results I got. I sighted my scope at 50 yards and at that distance I easily hit six 1/2" posters in succession to confirm zero. All six shots were on the small target and did not break the line. I did not have the opportunity to confirm beyond 100.

I am also considering the similar offerings LAX/Freedom Munitions. I still need to do a bit more research before ordering. Heard a couple of horror stories and trying to verify.

I ordered 50 rounds just to give it a try. I do know that the 55 grain Hornady VMax varmint rounds are very accurate and precise out of my 110. Hopefully these will be as well.

Update: Black Dot Ammunition states that their remanufactured .223 55grain VMax round is sub-MOA capable. Certainly can confirm that! Sub-MOA groups out of my Savage 110 at 100 yards. Appears to be good quality ammunition at remanufactured prices.
