Saw one of these the other day at the LGS. Anyone have one and can give me any positives or negatives of the pistol?

I got a 3" LCRx in 38 Sp +P shortly after they came out.

The trigger just "feels good" in both DA and SA. The decent sight radius and the adjustable sights allow me to shoot with good accuracy right to point of aim. I enjoy using it for practice shooting.

It is so light, that the recoil can make shooting un-fun. For routine paper punching, I ended up working down to a 600 fps load with a 108 gr cast RN bullet. I also shoot a mid range load with a 120 gr bullet.

I have fired thousands of rounds, with pretty much zero effort (no cleanings needed to keep the cylinder spinning freely) and zero complaints. With a good cleaning, it would look "lightly used" even though reality is more like "run hard & put away without a thought".

I have a 3" LCRx in 22lr as well. Fantastic little revolver! The 3" version is a great platform, Ruger makes it in 22lr, 22wmr, 38spl+p and 357mag. I have read nothing but good reviews regardless of caliber, so you really can't go wrong. Now, if Ruger would offer the 3" version in 327 federal magnum, I'd buy another.

They are amazing with 38 special.

I had one in 22lr and the trigger was so stiff that I traded it away.

Actually, as much as I like my 327 SP-101, I think I would prefer the 32 H&R in a LCRx. It could be built as a 6 shooter but more like their 38 than their 357.

I’ve been thinking of one in 22 WMR as a possible alternate for my wife, but between the heavy trigger and short ejector rod, I just can’t do it.

For the kind of money they’re getting now, they should have a full length ejector rod. (Even if the trigger can’t be helped)

I’m with the above P Flados : a six shooter in 32 H&R in this gun would be PERFECT. It’ll never happen though; they won’t invest in the dead cartridge. We’ll have to settle for a lighter 38 Spl load.

Know what I’d like to see? Get the LCR trigger tech into the rest of their DA revolvers.

Exactly what I was thinking! I have a .32 H&R Blackhawk that I reload for. I put a 100 gr XTP bullet on top of 11 gr of H110 and am getting 1200+ FPS.

The 327 LCR is 17 ounces, the 357 LCR is 17.1 ounces and the 9mm is 17.2 ounces.

The 38 LCR is 13.5 ounces.

The above are all steel frame snubbies.

The 3" 38 LCRx is 15.7 ounces, aluminum frame.

I want a 3" Aluminum frame 32 H&R with adjustable sights. Not a steel frame 327.

The local sportsman's warehouse has the snubby version in 38 spec in stock for $599. Is that the going rate for these now?

I have a 3" LCRx that is my daily CCW. I really like this revolver; it is lightweight, reliable and capable of fine accuracy. With both Hornady American Gunner 125gr hollow points and PMC 132gr FMJ this revolver puts the rounds into 2 to 2 1/2" groups off-hand at ten yards; I especially like the fact it has adjustable sights.

In all fairness I can't give you any negatives from my experience and I have had this revolver for several years. The trigger press is lighter than say a GP-100 (but not as smooth as my S&W Model 64 for comparison). The only limiting factor would be the ammo capacity; some may say 5 rounds isn't enough and again that is up to you and what you feel is adequate for your needs.

I have a 3" LCRx in .357..as others have found it's a great shooter. I purchased the .357 because of the added weight to mitigate some recoil. I find it very pleasant to shoot and highly accurate.
