as title says, thinking about a third powder for my .243 loading. currently using IMR4895 for weights 80gr and lower and IMR4350 for 87gr and above. I don't hunt or compete but I do love hunting for that 100 yard clover leaf. So I'm looking for a consensus on a third powder to try for weights 75-105gr. Read somewhere Ramshot hunter might be a good choice though their load data can be difficult to find. suggestions please.

I've used H4350, H380, H414 and IMR4064 with 85-95 gr bullets in my Savage 110 243. I have had good groups with all of them but have been using IMR4064 the most as I have a bunch of it. All loads were developed using Rem 9-1/2M magnum primers, with no issues.

I’ve had good results with H4895 for 85g Sierra bullets, and with IMR 4831 for 95 - 100g (Nosler and Hornady).

I've used several powders in 243 including ramshot hunter. Hunter is a lot more temp sensitive than most hodgen or imr powders. There is data on hodgen website for hunter.

Others I've used are h4895, imr4895. Imr 4350, h 4350, and win 760. There is also data available fir h1000, imr and h 4831.

With 243 you definitely have a lot of choices for powders.

My favorite powder for the 243 is IMR4064. I use it with Speer 85 gr BT and CCI 200 primers. It is the most accurate load in my Sako.

My Marlin X7S .243 shoots really good with MagPro. It gets an honest 3,100fps with a 100gr bullet from a 22” bbl. Accuracy is within normal range for the rifle.
I do use a magnum primer with it. Being a spherical powder, it does meter well, but I weigh individual powder charges...
IMR4831 is synonymous with the .243.... My older brother used it in his .243 that my nephew hunted with.. They took a LOT of meat does with it throughout the west while my brother was in the air force.

Varget has been my light bullet go-to powder for 243win, with H4350 my heavy bullet favorite. H1000 doesn’t make me sad in heavies, H4831 and 4895 for the mid weights there.
