Anyone know where I can order a M4-style collapsible stock for a FNH Police Tactical shotgun? It also has an adapter to fit to the receiver.

Thanks for the links but I didn't see stocks for shotguns on either site. Just for ARs and subguns.

Greg

The stock is just a CAR15 stock screwed into the receiver adapter as if it were an AR15 lower receiver. Thus any AR15 stock will work. I highly recommend the Magpul.

The problem isn't the stock, it's the adapter. The adapter they use on the FN will work on a Winchester, I think. I guess my question should be "where do I get that adapter?"

Greg

Is the FN Tactical Police shotgun legal in CA. since the stock is collapsible?

Does Surefire make a forend light for it? If so does anybody know what the part number is for it?

Who sells the FN Tactical Police shotgun at an affordable price online?

Will an ACE ARFX skeleton AR15 stock fit on a FN Tactical Police shotgun?

Here's a pic of the ACE ARFX skeleton AR15 stock:

You don't. FN doesn't make an adaptor. No one else makes an adaptor.
I would disagree. Someone makes it because it has one right on it. The FN receiver is the same as the 1300 receiver. There is a block that fits in between the stock and the receiver that has the disticntive Winchester 'wedge' cut out on one end and a threaded hole for the stock on the other end. So, the question is, how to get my hands on one. Does FNH sell replacement parts??? If so, who is a distributor?

Greg

Okay, whatever. Not to be an butt but pick up your latest copy of Am. Rifleman and turn to pg. 87. They show it all taken apart and there is what they call a "junction block" that is between the receiver and the tube and that is what I am in need of. The only hiccup now is that I may also have to have the trigger guard as well from looking at the way the pistol grip fits on.

Please tell me more about the accuracy, recoil, or an potential problems with the FN tactical police. How does it compare to other similar shotguns?

AFAIK it is just like the Winchester 1300. Recoil may be dampened or enhanced by the M4-style stock though. Won't know 'til I put one on mine.

Greg

Without a rubber recoil pad, recoil is more focused and sharpened by the M4 stock (since it's designed for a 5.56 carbine not a 12ga). Get a rubber recoil pad and put it on there. The fact that the stock 4-pos stock also has a smaller toe to spread recoil over doesn't help.. a Vltor or LMT or Magpul collapsing stock with a bigger toe would help.

Try ( www.argonautarmament.com ) in CANADA . They have adapters now only for REMINGTON 870's , with others to come, get an ADAPTER from them and your AR 15 stuff STATE SIDE. When looking at the price remember the CANADIAN dollar is WORTHLESS, compared to the U.S. dollar. You might get a bargain. There is a company in the U.S. making something similar but I can't find the site that it was mentioned on. GOOD LUCK.

The Argonaut Armarment system increases the weight, raises your head above the bore (necessitating the M1913 rail and sights) and generally doesn't improve much of anything.

The FNH model comes from the factory designed to take the M4 stock and have normal sight plane.

Hello All!

MrMurphy: The FN shotgun also requires an elevated sighting platform...thus their raised ar15 style sights. I would doubt that their gun is that much lighter than ours. Our full length rail system was for sure heavy, however we will likely replace it with the KAC 870 RAS in our "recommended specs". An 870 equipped this way with backup iron sights (such as those made by troy industries) is quite light.

If anything, due to FN engineering the back of their adapter to take any type of ar15 style stock, the sightline needs to be higher with their system as compared to our adapter which only will accept a telecoping style stock.

Take care,

Jason
