Weaver K2.5-1 centerfire ok?

It is a centerfire scope, from the days when a 2.5-3X was for "woods hunting", a 4X general purpose, and a 6X for "plains hunting." Maybe an 8 or 10X for varmint hunting. We still have posts telling us that 10X is ample for Long Range shooting because it has been used for wartime sniping.

Those were some good old scopes. It should hold zero and if it's clear I'd use it. I have a 4X that's about that old.

These were great old scopes with blued steel tubes. Really at home on a vintage rifle.
