.264 panther what is it?

I vaguely remember reading an article about 6.5mm (.264")wildcats, describing a couple 6.5 wildcats based on .250 Savage and .308 Win cases. They were called 264 Bobcat and 264 Panther, which I remember because I thought they were catchy names for wildcats. But that was like 20-30 years ago and I don't recall what name went with which case. I later learned that one became the 6.5 Lapua and the other was adopted by Remington as their .260 Rem.

I thought the panther was Jim Carmichael's wildcat for what was eventually adopted as the 260 rem. I think the bobcat was based off the 250 while the panther was a 308 necked to 6.5.
