Walked around the show for about three hours today and found this little gem. Well at least I think it's a gem..lol...
Russian Mosin M-44 All the numbers match except the bolt has been electro-penciled. Wood is very nice, blueing is about 95% and the bore is spotless. Came with 1068 rounds of 7.62x54 (mixed brands mostly silvertip) ammo and a handful of stripper clips. All for $110.00 private sale, no tax. The bigest bonus of all is that I didn't have to de-cosmo it.:D
Have a good one.

Very nice!:) With the ammo and sling, $110 is pretty good. Is it an Izhevsk or a Tula reciever?

nice find!

I picked up a Yugo M48 at the gunshow today for $100, in excellent condition. couldn't pass it up.

Izhevsk... Dated 1946. Is one better than the other?
Opinions vary, Izhevsks are much more common; some think the Tulas are better machined; but I've not noticed any difference in looks or accuracy and am quite happy with my Izhevsk m44.

H2R, that's a great deal.

Admar2's rifle is pretty nice, but don't anyone EVER go to a gunshow with him, unless you want to empty your wallet. I almost made it out of the place without spending much money, but Tony stopped me from making it. The next to last table in the place, he points out a rifle I might have missed. It was a Czech made, Vz52, chambered in 7.62x45mm. The owner was asking $175, which included the sling, two mags, a mag pouch, 49 rounds of ammo, and a ton of extra stripper clips. Admar2 says"Hey Frank, it's another one like the one you bought last week." (I picked up a Vz52/57, chambered in 7.62x39 at another show for $200 last Saturday.)

Well, I looked at it and looked into my pocket, coming up with $171. Tony then asks how short I am, and offers to spot me whatever I need to make $175. I was tempted to walk away, because I needed to keep a few bucks for gas and lunch, when the rifles' owner decides to throw in another 150 rounds (value = $18) AND lower the price to $150. How was a guy suppose to resist? So, now I have ANOTHER rifle which I don't really need (Like that's ever been an issue with me.), and an empty wallet (Oh well, I get paid Wednesday.). So, unless you really want an enabler for your gun-buying hobby, stay away from Admar2 at the gun show.

Thanks for pointing it out to me Tony. It looks great next to the Vz52/57.
