The Doctor shooting this guy in Henryetta Oklahoma after he stopped to help a woman {the guy was her husband} and having his auto rammed after he was driving her to the police station then he was confronted by the guy on foot and the Doctor drew his 45 after first being warned to stop or get shot. The guy kept advancing and the Doc.blasted him in the leg and lower abdomen two shots fired. The guy then walked next door to the firestation and asked for help. I wonder what type of Ammo. the Doc. was using. Anyway this is going to be some type of test I am betting of the Okla.CCW law since the Doctor had a CCW permit.

I'm not sure I follow. He'll either be found to have used his weapon legitimately and no charges will be filed, or found to have used it wrongfully and charged. How would it be a test of OK CCW?

Just the use of wording

Maybe my use of wording could be brought into question. What I am posting to is to my knowledge a person in Oklahoma has not yet had to defend their use of deadly force while being a CCW permit holder. :uhoh: I am just thinking this might become a test of any CCW permit holder using his firearm in the defence of someone other then their self or a family member whom they feel has someone as well as their own life in danger. Hope my peers understand the gist of this post. :)

The meat of your story cerberus is interesting and one that would most likely provoke discussion - if we could make any sense of it...

is an example of what I think Billmanweh is trying to say. He - along with myself - didn't understand what you wrote cerberus. The sentence structure all through your post is discontinuous, illogical and basically makes no sense.

About all that is evident from your post is that a doctor shot a guy. You say
the Doctor drew his 45 after first being warned to stop or get shot.
Huh? Who warned who? It appears on the surface that you are saying that the doctor was warned by the other guy but that really makes no sense. The rest of your post is the same. Pretty much incomprehensible. The incident may very well have an impact on CCW in OK but exactly how is unclear.

Not everyone has the ability to put their thoughts down in writing so others can understand them. It is an acquired skill - sadly not taught well in our schools today.

A link to a news article is always appropriate.

Not a Washington Post class writer

Since I am not a Washington Post class writer and have not asked to be paid by anyone in this or any other forum. If you or anyone does not like the way and manner I have posted this report of the Doctor shooting someone thats something I don't have any control over and I really don't care about  This is why people use GOOGLE :)

Here is what I THINK Cerberus meant to say:

A doctor stopped to help a woman. As the doctor was driving her to the police station, the woman's husband rammed the doctor's car with his own vehicle.

The husband then advanced on foot towards the doctor. The doctor warned the husband that he would shoot him if the husband kept advancing. The husband continued to advance so the doctor drew his .45 and shot the husband in the leg and lower abdomen.

The wounded husband then walked to a nearby fire station for aid.

At the time of the shooting, the Doc himself was being threatened. He was defending HIMSELF at that point, not the woman. Oklahoma CCW law is pretty clear on what situations justify use of deadly force. In my opinion, he was justified. sundog

If English is a 2nd language to you then congrats - writing in a non-native tongue is difficult without practice and you're doing... OK.

On the other hand and please don't take this wrong - I'm only trying to help - if English is your 1st language and you are an adult I would strongly recommend that you take a remedial level English course from your local community college and learn some basic writing skills - it will help you in the long run. If you are still in school then you're being robbed and need to encourage your English teachers to maybe do a better job because either you or them just aren't cutting the proverbial mustard when it comes to putting your thoughts into writing.
