I picked up this used Ruger Blackhawk in .357 with 6.5" barrel today for $225. It's in mint condition. :) This is my first Blackhawk and hopefully not my last. It also looks good next to the Single Six. :)

great. if i had been there a few minutes before you, you would not have this damn fine handgun. for $200, i will take several. anyhow, congrast on the BH, you will enjoy it.

You did good! I don't own any Blackhawks, but I do have a Mark II Gov't Target Model, a GP-100, and a Super Redhawk and all have been great shooters for me. Really wouldn't part with them either. Some don't like Rugers, but mine have been and continue to be great.

great gun. A .357 Ruger SA is the only one I don't have that I want. That'll be a changin' later this year gauranteed. have shot 'em and they're just a really fun gun to shoot. Lke the longer bbl on yours as well. hope you enjoy it!

I loaded up some Winchester 110gr .357 loads and it's a very nice to shoot. Very managable. :) I also tried some 158gr 38 Special Winchester Cowboy loads. This is going to be a very fun gun. :D It is a bit front heavy.

You got a good deal!

But check for barrel leading after firing .38-Spl lead bullet loads...my particular .357 Blackhawk in stainless steel will lead up in a single cylinder load. So, I fire only copper-plated or jacketed bullets in it...

I'll keep an eye out for the lead when shooting the cowboy loads. I only did a quick test shoot and fired 6 rnds of .357 and only 2 rnds of the 38 Special Cowboy loads just for comparison. It's a keeper. :)
