I was reading the thread about Jane Fonda calling US troops "killing machines" over at the Firing Line this evening, and it made me realize I've never gotten a chance to thank our veterans for giving themselves in times of war. I have an uncle I never get to see I've always wanted to thank for his participation in WWII. I had a friend years ago I never got to thank for his service during Vietnam. And our guys come home from Iraq now to hear this Fonda crap.

So thank you very much to all of our veterans for your service in all of our conflicts. We appreciate it and you very much.

I volunteered at the USO last Saturday and it won't be my last time. I saw some fine, wonderful men and women get on a plane to go back after R & R.

I was never so proud of our military and our country as I was at that moment.

I too saw the article on "the firing line" forum and it surprised me to see it. The majority of people there are the 'blame America first crowd' with Black helicopters hovering overhead and tin foil hats on the staff.

I highly appreciate what our soldiers have done/sacrificed for this country so we don't have to look behind our back and have a safe place to sleep at night.
THANKS, YOUR GREAT!!!:)

i too salute those that have sacrificed their lifestyle/lives by choice in their service to the USA. i have three family members who have served in USAF..Army and USMC...as well as neighbors in the Navy, National Guard.
