It makes me sad to think I might have to give up my gun with the "automatic trigger" that "shoots multiple targets". I read on another board about the 75% of Illinois residents supporting an "assault weapons ban" It was done for one of the Illinois gun grabber outfits by a company that states on their web site that they will get the results their customers want. Jim.

Maybe, just maybe one day, the Peoples Demokratic Republik of Chikago, ILL will break away from the rest of the state and slide off into the lake...sort of like we sometimes hope parts of California will do.

I just wish Chicago would become a District of Illinois.
They can do whatever the hell the voters will allow the politicians to and downstaters can deal with their own problems with their own tax dollars.

Chicagoland depends on down state money and natural resources to survive. I doubt that those people will ever do us a favor by separating from Illinois.

Start a secessation (sp?) campaign to secede from the state of Illinois. If the rest of the state hates to be a part of Chicagoland, you shouldn't have much of a problem getting it to ballot.

I do know that Michigan's U.P. did this a bunch of years back but the majority of voters wanted to stay with Michigan in the end.

What's the overall tax rate for Illinois? It sound like they pay WAY too many fees!
