To answer a few questions, yes it has been published, and quite a bit. When Ohio was going thru the whole CCW process in their legislature a number of Ohio newspapers printed it. Also, a very prominent columnist really tried to take me to task over the letter, saying that I "blamed the victim."

In an email back to her I just merely thanked her for publishing it, and remarked that by helping me gain readers for the letter she probably ensured another 100 women would carry when the law passed.

She was not amused.

I am not sure just where it has been published in Illinois although I know at least several newspapers did run it. The most prominent of them was the Chicago Sun Times, right under a letter from a gun-banner whining about all the people who wanted to carry guns. It kinda made him look a little silly IMHO.

I've posted it on hundreds of news media blogs in the various states over the years that have been considering CCW and also other types of net outlets so it's had a pretty good run.

I'm just sorry that ALL states aren't carry friendly. We should be able to get one carry permit and be able to carry in any state, county, city or township.

Scratch that........ we shouldn't even need to have a permit since it is our RIGHT to keep & bear arms.
