Hopefully this will provide some interesting reading in the future, presently it's a fairly sparse site. Maybe that will change as it gets more notice and they publish more 'readers comments'.
http://lapdblog.typepad.com/

I did however find this entry referring to the May 1st 'Day without Immigrants'.
National Boycott Day May 1, 2006
The men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department participated in this event by ensuring that the Constitutional Rights of all participants were met.

That's it.
No opinion, no figures on arrests, no estimates of crowd size.
I will be reading this blog in the future but I can't help wondering if it is necessary as a PR exercise and, if it is costing taxpayers money, if that money could be better spent.

It will be amusing to see Chief Bratton expounding on why those who don't like illegal immigration in L.A. "should just MOVE!" One of his more memorable remarks, uttered on talk radio (I heard him say it).

You get to be capo di polizia by being a sharp politician.

Ha great!

isn't this the same chief who testilied about the fifty Barret?

How long will they publish comments from intelligent gunnies?

Well I've waited for awhile on the comments I submitted. They were never posted. So much for an open blog, well not even really a blog.

My questions and comments were obviously to tuff for the LAPD and their Cheif.

I guess the status quo wouldn't just be the status quo otherwise.

hey, I heard Walmart posted their stats for the "day without immigrants.

Sales were down 6%

Shoplifting was down 86%

:neener:
