Yes, and mine has been a problem child since day one. It has been back to DW and they fixed the "Cartridge in the Face" issue but the FTF issue is worse. I loved the look and feel of a stainless 1911 Commander Bobtailed. With my disappointment with the DW CBOB, I bought a Smith & Wesson, Scandium Commander and had it Bobtailed. The S&W is without a doubt the finest handgun I have ever owned. It also is considerably lighter.

Two 'BOBs

I have two of the post CZ 'BOBs, a .45 and a 10mm- love them both. The .45 was perfect from day one (350 rounds now). The 10mm had some FTF issues during break-in, but I think they are solved now. I put in an Ed Brown extractor, and haven't had an FTF since. Most 1911 issues are simple to resolve if we try to analyze and remedy them: magazines; ammo; extractor; springs. Sorry I can't post pictures of my "babies"- I don't know how.

My post CZ CBOB was a dog. I could not get through a magazine without slide locking back, and failure to feed, (not at the same time) and getting hit in the face with cases. In fact, due to lack of imagination, I kept shooting without realizing that they were denting my plastic lenses. Oh well, I guess it was time for new lenses.

My friend BluesBear worked on it a bunch and it is much better, only the occasional FTFeed and occasional thump in the face. But I still have to wear safety glasses over my real ones.

On the good side, it is very accurate and has a great crisp trigger. We are thinking of maybe the other problems might require some polishing of the chamber. Might be asking 1911Tuner for some more tips.

I've never had any failure to feed or ejection problems with my Dan Wesson! :neener:
