Interesting article. I hope the author is right that RKBA won't take a hit.

I think that enough people are going to vote independent or for "republicans are bad" and that we're going to have about six to ten years of Democrats in power in Washington.

And a bunch of emboldened islamists.

I believe the author has made a nice attempt make everyone feel gun rights won't be in jeopardy is people vote Democratic. I know who my Pro2A candidates are and they will be receiving my vote on November 7th.

Long View: It's about control of the Supreme Court

We will never be able to vote for an alternate party or idea as long as the Dems are in the thrall of the Left.

The predominance of the Left, offering itself all over the world as the snake oil panacea alternative to every ill means that our choices are constrained to sucky option A, or collectivist inspired option B.

This dynamic blocks any stride towards true reform...of anything.

This will remain to be the case until the American socialists are defenestrated from American politics.

It's all about SCOTUS for me.

It's about being able to get decent picks through to the supreme court. With someone like Kennedy running the judiciary committee, who do you think will get through? Maybe a Souter if we are lucky. Maybe no one if we are luckier. I suspect the leftist justices are all waiting for the right political environment in which to retire. If the dems retake the Senate, you can bet that will happen. And I dont think Bush would hesitate to pull another Miers or Souter on us.

It's about immigration. We would have had amnesty last year if it wasnt for conservative republicans blocking it in the house. Lose the House and it goes straight up to our interntionalist president.

It's about taxes. Democrats have been screaming loudly about how we need to save social security by raising taxes "on the wealthy." Want to bet that they think you are a lot wealthier than you do? We've had 70 percent federal tax brackets before, we could have them again. "But, it couldnt ever get that bad!" Oh but it can! The illegals arent going to pay their own way once they get amnesty. Let the world's poor into our country and we will be bled dry "saving social security." It's already happened in europe.

The rotten leftist core of the Democrat party can undo the good intentions of the other 90% due to their seniority, despite what Helmetcase might tell us to the contrary. Purge your party of the Kennedys, the Schumers and the Clintons and we can talk about individual candidates. Until then, all I see is a bunch of "conservative" trojan horses that talk a good talk to cover the leftists sneaking in to take power.

Yup, even if you vote for a Democrat that is A rated by both NRA and GOA the simple fact remains: That Democrat representative will be the new guy on the block. The freshman, the cherry, the FNG. It doesn't matter 1 way or another what his personal views are because the gun grabbers that have been stinking up Congress for the past 20-30 years will still be the ones in charge and the new guy only makes the evil ancient ones more powerful.

If you don't like the Republicans, then viable options are 3rd party or don't vote. I don't see the point of voting in proxy for the likes of Schumer, Kennedy, Kerry, etc...
