Okay, here's one. I don't have a really big buck, so I put this stink pig I had mounted up here. It was a really big boar Javelina, about 60 lbs on the hoof. I don't know if they get a lot bigger. He has a good set of choppers, too. Those are his real ones, not fake. This one I hit too far back, had to blood trail, and when I caught up with him, he charged me chompin' those choppers. A little un-nerving, but it gave me a little adrenalin rush. First time I've every been charged by anything wild. The taxidermist did a good job of hiding the .357" hole in his head.:D

I shot this one in West Texas. I thought he was big when I saw him from the rear. :banghead: :D G2's pretty good, though, about 10". Guy killed a 9 point that went 17" same day, but heck, to me he's pretty decent. I ain't got nothin' like that down on MY place.

Here's a couple little bucks I have harvested in recient years...
I harvested this little guy with my T/C Encore .260 Rem Caliber @ aprox 270 yards, harvested with one shot taken from a free standing position as the Whitetail crossed a cutline broadside to my position nose down tracking a Doe which had crossed the cutline about 5 minutes earlier.

This one was harvested with a single shot fired from a free standing position at the Buck from a range of 225 yards as he was hot on the trail of a couple hot does, this time I used my Ruger #1s .338 Win Mag because that was what was in my hands, since I was out Elk hunting with a friend at the time. My friend gave in first & shot a nice 3x3, so while he was dressing that buck I continued to walk up the trail looking for Elk when a couple does crossed the trail ahead of me. I stood ready to fire & waited to see what would follow. I was reasonably happy with this one even though we never got any Elk that day.

This elk was harvested by my hunting partner October 14/06, I called him out to my buddy's position, a single shot from his .270 Savage finished the hunt.

Them meese are big animals. :D

This is the pic I had a guy shoot in camp after I took that javelina. Quite the runt compared to that warthog, or that big Texas boar, but he's big for a Javelina. They're small enough that a .357 is a good caliber and they're blind enough that you can get within pistol range pretty easy if you come from down wind and don't make much noise. Gun is a 4" Rossi M971. Nope, not a Smith and Wesson and yet it STILL did the job. Imagine that.

Did you also shoot the annoying little Meerkat that was riding around on the warthog ????

Scout,:D

The really funny part about that is, after I shot that warthog the song "Akuna Mattata" got stuck in my head I was singing it all the way back to camp. :D

McGunner,

That buff had a serious attitude. He was an O.G. (original Gangster)of the Zambezi.

Here's the little ladys first deer. She took him with a .357 at 80 yards !:what: The best part, I could see it all happen from my stand!:D
