I'm looking to stock up on 30 round AR mags in preperation of the looming Illinois AWB. While I typically buy factory Colt mags I found a good deal on a case lot of Brownells 30 round mags (the new ones with the green followers). I have one already that has functioned reliably so far but would like to hear of others experience with them. I would hate to buy a case of them only to find out the good one I have was just a fluke.

I just had asked this same question a few days ago, and the consensus was that they were good mags.

They are mil-spec, and some people have said they were produced for the military in addition to public sales.

I owen about twenty five of the Brownell magazines now.
They have all but replaced my other magazines.
I bought all mine with the chrome silicone springs.

I am waiting for Brownells to introduce the straight side twenty round magazines.
Enough of us harped at them and they decided to have a lot or two manufactured for retail sale.
They get those out and with the C.S. springs I will buy ten of those too.
