AR mags from CDNN

Bought 2 20 round mags from CDNN. No print on them, they are straight with no curve. They dont function well, as I get alot of "Double Feeds" no matter how many rounds are left in mag. I tried a couple mags my buddy has " colt and a stoner" and function was flawless. Is there a way to fix these mags and use them??? Or are they crap and forget it? They both do have the green followers. I know that Brownells makes a lip jig for a 1911 mag...Is there such a rascal for a AR? Any help appreciated.

If these are the steel ones, they are (in my experience) unredeemable.

Send them back to CDNN with a note explaining why you are returning them. Request a different brand of AR magazine.

Pitch them in the trash or use them for target practice. You might want to ask before you buy your next mags. That's what the internet is for IMO.
The only AR mags I will buy are NHMTG/Okay or C Products LLC.

I have had good luck with D&H Industries, but I just tried some C-Products mags for the first time last weekend that I got from Wideners. They were flawless. They really are not any more than other mags either.

A couple other mags my friend had that worked good were stamped NHMTG, I found out these are Okay Industries. I ordered 5 tonite. Before I chunk these others, should I save the green followers out of them, or are they crappus too?

CDNN has C Products with orange Magpul followers at a decent price. I ordered a bunch before Christmas.

You might want to try substituting Magpul followers for the follower in those magazines: $6.95 for a pack of three. I've rescued several unreliable magazines with them. Magpul makes good things. http://www.magpul.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=80_98&products_id=198

I have MagPul GenII followers in all of my 30rd mags but keep in mind they won't work in straight 20rd mags. They will however work in curved 20rd mags.

CDNN has pretty good customer service. I suggest you phone their toll free number and explain the problem, saying you want to exchange for other merchandise. Like most sellers, they move more quickly on an exchange than a refund.

I would return them to CDNN. They are a great company to deal with and will make it right for you with a minimum amount of BS.
