Zoogster, first of all one could use .50 AE blanks or ratshot, second of all I never said to fire in the air and finally I suggested it reductio ab absurdum any way. If anyone could not tell it was a joke to the point to go out and by a $1,200 pistol and try it, then I seriously doubt they are intelligent enough to own a gun anyway and my mention is the least of their problems.Putting people far away at risk of serious injury or death from large heavy falling bullets so one can have some fun shooting at a nest is irresponsible.
My preferred method for flying insect eradication is 2 pumps in my Benjamin 392 and then dry firing at point blank range(4-5"). Basically vaporizes flies and bees...
