Is Webley a producing company any more.
I would say they have a nanny state problem.
Just my opinion.

I read somewhere that during the late 1800's it wasn't uncommon for British police to borrow pistols from civilians on the streets if they were pursuing a particularly dangerous criminal.
Guess they only had clubs then too.

Good Question Oleg,

Isn't this why most of us that are here in this wonderful country? We or our ancestors came here to obtain rights and freedoms lost in the old world? It saddens me to see many of those very right being lost in todays society.

Thank you Oleg. Can we have something with a shotgun on,maybe with the words,"English men do it with their wellies on"

Purdeys,Holland and Holland,Dixon,McNaughton,Rigby,Greener,MacFarlaine,
Boss....just a few of too many to mention.

IMHO some of the finest, elegantly beautiful firearms ever created have come out of the UK and some of the ugliest also. IMHO "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", I have a acquaintance that just adores Webley's.

You might try making it a double. The original on top and on bottom the phrase "Now all they can buy is this" accompanied by a pic of an airsoft pistol.

Except we can't, unless we have a registered skirmishing site!
Edit: or unless you want to paint it luminous yellow.

True, but you still need a license for that. A 100 years ago, you just had to walk into your local gun shoppe, hand over money, get gun.

Are you aware that the 2nd is presently under threat?
The SCOTUS is about to make a pronouncement on the right to keep and bear arms; its judgement is vital to that freedom-lose it, and you will never regain it-
Just like the British lost it.
The forces ranged against you are formidable-and the only effective voice on your behalf, is the NRA
Any gun owning US citizen who is not a paid up member of the NRA will have only himself to blame-

Remember-All that is necessary for evil to triumph.....

Great poster Oleg, and one of your firsts that I think can be used this side of the pond, though I wonder how many people would 'get it'.

Oh and one of my favourite British guns? The Sten. Okay, ugly as sin, but beautifuly simple and I'm sure it'd look like Angelina Jolie if you were in trouble... I suppose the closest thing the British have ever had to an AK, just less powerful and reliable... Very much a Volks weapon.

We can own some pistols - muzzle loaders, antiques, long barreled (12" +) revolvers, long barreled semi-auto .22 pistols, rare/historic/engraved/etc pistols. But we can't own regular, modern pistols of ordinary size. And of those that we can own, they require a permit which is expensive, difficulty to get and extremely restrictive. The exception is antiques kept as curios, but these cannot be fired without a permit.

Ordinary people certainly can't carry pistols (or anything) for self-defence. Obviously, politicians and police are allowed to.

You might want to change "English" to "British". Yes, the British courts even upheld the right of an Irishman to carry a pistol. Also, I think you could add in something like "and there was no problem with people shooting each other" - otherwise an anti will simply answer the question with "because it makes us safer to deny people this right."

Personally, I think the Webley revolvers are rather attractive, but that might be the "only a mother" thing ;)
