QB of Texas,
:)

Very nice collection there.
The Sphinx intrigues me (pity they stopped making them in '95-'96)

How does the little Swiss blaster shoot/carry/strip?

Thanks,
Horge of the Philippine Islands

I love the Sphinx. It is DAO but the trigger is very crisp. Very accurate and has been 100%. Took me FOREVER to find an all Palladium finished one (most of them are two tone). I have a friend that cannot pull the DAO trigger (she has weak hands) nor rack the slide. But she does fine with the SIG and the Colt. It's a bit heavy like the stainless SIG I have but sometimes weight doesn't matter (like when it's in my golf bag). Strips down just like other fixed barrel guns....real easy although it is small to work with (for those with large hands).

They still make the SPHINX but do not import them to the US. Actually this year there was a US importer but it seems not much panned out except for some high end race guns. I was sorely dissapointed. I have one other SPHINX, an AT2000 Police Special (again, in all Palladium). It is like new and I paid too much for it but it is a beauty (and single action) and the only palladium police special I have ever found. I have pre-bans for it also but rarely shoot it. Wish I could find another one so I wouldn't "baby" the one I have!!!!!

Thanks!
That AT2000 is simply beautiful.

And all along, I thought SPHINX had halted production of the AT380.
Oh well... good news for .380 enthusiasts, then!
:D

Those Sphinx guns are beautiful. I've wanted one for a long time, but have never come across one for sale. Someday...

Yours looks great, QB!

What the hay, let me give this a try with a rather lo-res PhotoShop’ed image of my recently-acquired Sig P232 two-tone. Inside an Uncle Mike's Size 1 Nylon Super Belt Slide Holster (Stock #8601-0, fits right or left hand) with molded thumb break, it rides on my hip comfortably all day long. The stock black magazines that are supplied with the P232 work just fine, but the stainless steel ones (about the same cost) appear to be that much "smoother," I'm talking about the movement of the follower inside the magazine tube, that is. I bought a couple extra of the SS. The HKS Model 943 magazine loader is almost a must, it makes loading Soooo much easier!

No pic, but I often carry a Beretta M85FS .380 Cheetah. Slim, light, accurate.

No pics, but in order of carry frequency: 380 Guardian, Colt Mustang, PPK, and 232 blued.

Tiberius, I only fired a P3AT on one occasion. I was really surprised that even with the increased recoil over my P32 it was really an accurate shooter. I fired one magazine offhand at about 10 feet. All six rounds were in the orange 1" dot in the middle of my bullseye. I've been planning on getting one but I'm getting a Ruger LCP instead. SLightly larger to help tame a bit of that recoil and probably a bit more durable too. I'll post pics when I get it.

Wow, I didn't notice how old this thread is. I'm glad it was resurrected. I've always like a good .380. They tend to be soft shooting little tack drivers.

Bersa 380CC in Nickel with Marschal wood grips and UBG Holster will be going to the range for break-in this week. I also have a Desanti Nemesis pocket holster for it. Fits really nice in the front pocket of the Levis. No pics yet

Carry a P3AT a lot during the summer months.

I took a close look at a couple of Colts at the last gun show. Like those a lot.

I carried one for 18 years in NYC, that and a model 60 smith, I had two misfires, shooting supervells, "back in the day", NYC is tough, you really have to have friends to get two guns on your carry. The guns are listed on your license. Or at least they were when I moved to FL, then I sold them and went nuts the first couple years, I couldn't believe that you could have as many as you want, everyone who lives in a State like NY or CA, and comes here, gets the shakes the first year, lol, you end up buying every gun you ever thought of, then realize you have a couple dozen guns too many. Most end up with 6-12, and gradually the adulation wears off.

Here is my Beretta 84F. I carry it crossdraw in a Galco "waistband" packed with 13+1 Golden Sabers.

Flopsy, how's that 84f Cheetah working out for you in terms of reliability and accuracy at the range? Pros and cons?

BERSA and Seecamp

9+1 Golden Saber.

This is why I really like .380. Diminutive carry, with a decent punch.

It will run Speer Gold Dot 90gr, and Winchester Silvertip 85s.
I didn't care for the GS in the Seecamp.

Sometimes by it's lonesome, sometimes with my G19.

Ditto my Bersa Thunder .380 - no pix of it handy though.

Both are pocket carried in a Desantis Nemesis.
