If you had a choice of only these guns which would you choose as a ccw
1.Taurus 85
2.Bersa CC 380
3.Taurus TCP 380
4.Keltec PF9
5.Ruger LCP

PF9, although I've got an 85, and carry it often, and had an LCP as my primary CCW for a few months.

Tough choice with only one 9mm in the bunch.

Now Ruger makes a small 9mm like the PF9. The LC9 I think.

AND I've shot the Bersa CC and it is one nice really concealable auto.

I also have the TCP in .380 (as well as P3AT and P32.) And I have a Taurus 85 to boot with DPX Cor-bon ammo in it!

I'd have to say of the five, whichever fits your hand and you shoot well with it (yes it's a cop out but that is the way I look at it.)

I chose the PF9 I just wondering what you all would of chose given a $300 and below budget and a choice of those pistols

Great choice. I had similar options years back and went with a PF9. Carried for 2 years without a single issue. No fluff and buff, no polishing, no break-in period, nada. Worked perfect right out of the box. I now have a PM9 but still keep the PF9 in rotation.

second choice would have been the bersa cc.
I really wanted more punch so I chose the 9mm over a 380.
The PF9 will be my backup of my G26.

Of those? The Taurus. Put Buffalo Bore +P in it and you'll have the best of the bunch. The 9's not bad but if I'm carrying a 9, I'd rather it were my G19 for the additional shots.

What I would choose only has value to me and should not influence what anyone else should choose. All those youy list are quality firearms and I would feel okay with any of them...or quite a few others.

In this two part question, if I had to buy new, I'd buy a Ruger P-95.

If I could buy used, I'd get a Smith and Wesson Model 13 (paid $225) a Model 10 HB ($135) Colt Detective Spl ($300), 100 yr old M&P ($110), KelTec P-11 ($200) or a LNIB Charter Arms .38 ($85). All of these guns I purchased for the price shown and would carry all of them ahead of the choices the OP listed. If I had to look at guns currently available, I'd look at the used Model 64's or 5906's

and a choice of those pistols

I don't trust .380's as a primary arm, so that leaves the PF9 and Taurus 85....whichever one proved itself, but I'd lean towards the .38

I carried a Taurus 85b3 for a while. Now that my CZ is in the shop I have started to carry it again. (I had to call my friend to get it back since I sold it to him.) It isn't the most mechanically refined gun in the world. However, it works well, shoots accurate, and with Federal LE 158gr+P LSWC-HPs I know it will drop a 130 pound dog in one shot.

I know dogs and humans are made quite different. However, it is confidence inspiring to know that the gun and bullet combination have proven to work.

Of the items on your list, I would go with the Ruger LCP.

That decision is based on nothing more than the brand names you listed.

id go with the pf9, because its 9mm and i love the way that little gun looks.

The square checkering pattern is very appealing to me for some reason

LCP I picked it because I did pick it as my small ccw pistol earlier this year. Nice little gun. I haven't shot the others on the list so I can't comment on their qualities.

LCP, which is what I have. Although a PF-9 or LC9 will be my next purchase so that I can "bridge the gap" between the LCP (which can go anywhere) and the Beretta 92FS (which I can only conceal in a few situations)
