You'd be the first person i've heared of that sold his bersa.

I sold my Bersa too. Could not stand the inaccuracy of mine. Shot a 18" group at 15 yds. I love the cartridge though and I am waiting to see the new Ruger .380. I have more overbuilt Rugers than most people need but I really like them.

I know a guy who sold his Bersa. He ripped off his little brother in order to get money to buy it back. I was the little brother in that case...!

LOL, "ripped off" is a bit harsh, the story is: he convinced me to sell him my Taurus 94 - for a really good deal, I might add. ;) Then he turned around and sold my Taurus for more than he paid me for it, and used the profits toward buying another Bersa! :p

If you must carry a .380, I say do it in style.

Here's a few pics of my Sig P232SL.

Flopsy, how's that 84f Cheetah working out for you in terms of reliability and accuracy at the range? Pros and cons?

It's excellent, generally. I carry it almost exclusively. It gives me about 3 inch groups at 7 yards, but in the hands of my father it is even better than that. It also can hold 13+1, and I don't know of any other .380s that will give you that, and I like the manual 1911-style decocking safety.

I have never experienced any malfunctions with my carry ammo, which is Golden Sabers. The polished surfaces on the GS seem to help. With cheap practice ammo I start getting FTFs after about 100 rounds due to it needing to be cleaned. I may get it professionally sonic cleaned which might help with that.

Smith & Wesson .380 Sigma

Folks, this is the gun you never even considered because it was so ugly and cheaply built. If you ever see one in newish condition, consider it!

It is not the smallest or most durable (though almost the lightest) .380 pistol, but it IS the easiest to grab onto, and hang onto. It is a perfect small size for real shooting. It will never drop a magazine accidentally. The sights are pathetic, but a drop of "Whiteout" can really help. Hey, you can even "melt" the contours of the boxy zinc slide with SANDPAPER! If S&W had built it of stainless steel they would have sold millions of 'em!

But the thing is, it always sucks properly into my hand, and NEVER fails to fire or function. It even shoots to point of aim! Yes, it looks like junk, but it is my second most carried pistola, and one that I will never sell!...................elsullo :D

Bought a Bersa thunder380,what a great carry gun. have about 750 rounds thru it without any problems. In the winter I use FMJ and the summer it will carry JHP. At 15 feet all the rounds are in the ten ring and I can't ask for more than that.

SHOOTER57---------Agree! I have the Bersa .380 since 3/06
Right out of the box, I had one stovepipe with the first mag.
After that-its eats everything I feed it.
I see they are getting very popular at today's price of $299.00
and in 03/06 $219.00 ( I find myself favoring the .380 for carry over
the G 19)

Hollowpoints can become clogged and not expand when impacting heavy clothing. I didn't do that post, but that's the reason he probably carries fmj in the winter.

Here's a group shot of my favorites. Only two have ever been carried, the Beretta 84 and the blued Sig P232. The one on my wish list is the HK K3.

I realize that, but how is that any worse than FMJ? At least with jhp there's still a good chance they will expand after penetrating heavy clothing... with jhp there's no chance. ;)

Hehe, :D

You guys are talking about carrying in style yet no one has shown a PPK/s yet??:eek: (Well of the recent posters and usp9 said he didn't carry his :))

Here's mine with aftermarket grips, I use a Bianchi IWB holster on my back hip and carry 7+1 Remington Golden Sabers.

I flat out love this pistol.
