A picture is worth a thousand words...and a half million dollars. :what: (Not my guns, I'm afraid)

Um, I have a Tokarev, Saiga 7.62x39, and a single shot shotgun. And I wont embarass myself by posting pics:eek:

Heh, some of you guys really make me wonder what you do with all of them guns.
If it's merely for collection or investment I understand, but how could you possibly shoot all of them enough to justify owning them? Also, I'm sure you'd hit at least a few (dozen) overlaps in potential usage.

Sure, I have more than I need. God bless America for the ability to have more than I need. :D

Plus, you have to realize... I have funds enough to buy ammo for all of them, too. Along with having enough free time to get to the range about twice a week.

Second the sentiment is this is America and we do not have to explain or rationalize our particular interests to anyone. Collect your beanie babies or lust after a supercharger and I will happily collect firearms that suit my fancy.

It seems some of the heavy spenders fall in either the very young or the very old. I am 50 and have bought 12 in the last 18 months because I have more disposable income now. Single guys (mostly) that do not have dependencies or maybe even get their income boasted by living with parents covering housing and food are on the other spectrum. I make a pretty good gross income but with all my other expenses I give myself an allowance that is probably about what a teenager flipping burgers part time gets.

So far I am up to 12 and have at least six more on my wish list. My thing is by usage. I have 22 guns for plinking, 3 gun competition, defense, cowboy action, some history and media love, conceal carry etc.

I never felt so patriotic as the first time I took my suppressed AR to the range. It reminded me of how awesome a country we live in.

Of course the fact that it doesn't have a happy switch and I had to ask permission for the silencer remind me of how far we have to go, but overall I felt optimistic at that point.

The main thing that helps our cause is, teach people. Tell them all about things like that being legal, let them try it out at the range, help them get their own, etc.

Crunker1337, it's mainly just for fun that I have a collection numbering in 3 digits. Some don't get shot all that much but every gun I own I have fired.

I figured the money was better spent on this hobby than in golf or strip clubs!

Every time someone in my family says something smart about how many guns I have or that I spend too much money on guns I point out how much money my brother spends on weed and remind them that at least what I do happens to be legal. That usually shuts them up. Or I point out how many golf clubs they have or how much they have invested in computer stuff, etc.

That said, I don't even have a dozen yet. I've only been at it for a couple of years. I don't even compare to some of the collections I've seen here. Mine is not a collection yet.

I don't even have a safe yet. I really need a safe.

Nothing impressive. The .22 may have the most character and be the most fun among them.

I guess I'll add my modest collection here. Man you people make me feel severely lacking. :(

Those -42's are enough to give me the shivers. Wonder how many places in the world these days have that many together in one spot?

Where are the beltguns?.. :p

Stuff posted on the net doesn't go away, even after you try to delete it. Once out there, it's out there.
Further, when the right geeks and nerds want to, they can get pretty close to figuring out who and where you are.
Do all of you REALLY want Mayor Nagin and buddies to know how much of what you have around the house?

Think about it.
