DPMS 308 Magazine options

None that I know of. Back in the bad old days of the AWB people tried modifying M14 mags for the similar AR10, results were not particularly good reliability wise.
Shop around, the DPMS $40 asking price is often discounted. I got 6 for $150 at a gun show with a little negotiation.

Original AR-10 magazines will work (By original, I mean the military rifles built in the 1960s, not the recently produced ones from Illinois). They can sometimes be found at garage sales where kiddies are selling off their deceased father's stuff and don't know anything about what they are selling.
Knight Armament Corp mags will work too, but they cost about $100 each.

I was hoping for a cheap option. But Money talks and BS walks. So I know where I stand. The DPMS LR-308, i'm loving it. Right out of the box it was zeroed, didn't touch the sights. No cycling issues with 3 different loads. But only shot around 30 shells so far to break in the barrel.
