with air soft guns

I was driving down the road the other day and saw a lowered cadillac (which was pumping some pretty loud base) turn in front of me. All of a sudden, two "gangstas" on the passenger side, front and back, popped out of their windows with air soft guns (pistols with clear plastic and red muzzles) at the same time the driver stuck out a AR-15 type air soft gun of similar appearance.

They all opened up on a apartment unit, then screeched away???? :what:
Yellow BB's flying everywhere.

I laughed my butt off and minded my own business. Just glad they weren't real guns. Anyway, this was probably still an illegal act.

There lucky no one shot back at them with real guns.

That's Hilarious! Now Canadian cops are going to have to be armed with air soft guns as well in case of a similar incident. I laugh now, but it will hurt later. An actual Cadillac huh, sweet.

at least it looked like it. I still can't believe this, they had every detail down. Must have been film students or something.

what if it was done with finger guns? Would the police need to be armed with finger guns too?

"POLICE! PUT DOWN YOUR WEAPONS! PEW PEW PEW PEW..."

Probably quite so. In Minnesota, I believe you can be charged with making felony terroristic threats for doing that. As an airsoft player and hobbyist, this kind of behavior disgusts me.

I was thinking for a moment after my last comment how funny it would be if a group of people did a finger gun drive-by.

Then I realized how very much that would be assault. It lost its humor.

Must have been film students or something.

Years ago, an actor friend of mine was making a student film. A bunch of actors pulling prop guns on a city street corner suddenly found themselves surrounded by cops with drawn guns. Not a good idea.

A few years ago, I was doing some target practise in an area that had an off-road vehicle section and a canyon that recreational shooters used. There was a dirt road on one side of the canyon, and I was on the hillside overlooking that road.

I was taking a break when I heard a volley of rounds coming from the dirt road. When I looked, there was a lowered '64 Chevy on the road. The occupants of the vehicle had set up empty beer bottles on the other side of the canyon and they were using them to practise their drive-by shooting! The lowered Chevy was making slow passes by the beer bottles, and 4 dressed-down gang bangers were hanging out of the windows, TRYING to hit the beer bottles. I just sat there and watched, with my M1A loaded and ready to go if they saw me and decided to practise the real thing.

On about the 4th pass, one of the idiots finally hit one of the beer bottles. Someone else, however, had an A/D inside the vehicle, and I actually saw the hole in the roof! The vehicle stopped and all of them looked at the hole, then the driver slapped around one of the others (probably the idiot who had the A/D). Two minutes later, they drove out of the area. I was going to write down the license plate of the vehicle, but the plate had been removed. They were up to NO good!

I'm sure that would count as shooting/throwing something from a moving car at a person in another moving car. Last time I checked that would be a felony twice over.

DesertDawg's scenario, assuming a good vantage point, would have been a great time to have that M1A scoped and suppressed...wonder what would have gone through the gang banger's minds to see their beer bottles exploding one after another before they even pulled the triggers? I wonder if the feeling of "somebody's watching me" would deter any future mischief, or something worse?

had that happen in the uk idiots were slightly less amused to find a real armed response and up on fire arms charges :D
if it looks like a gun cops tend to treat it like a gun.
most people if someobody points a gun at them expect it to be a real one.:(

I'm sure by now the local news media has reported that those involved in this incident used AK47 automatic guns, and will call for a new ban on these evil firearms. Meanwhile the Chief of Police will call a news conference to ask for additional funding to equip his force with M-16's, "We are badly underguned on the streets, and must level the plying field," he'll say. :neener:
