I know this topic has been done before, so I won't get too into it. But, does anyone know what happened to those guys' guns? Were they just seized and kept as evidence or just destroyed? I'm sure some of the equipment used there-- i.e. their body armor, the AR/AK drums would be worth a pretty penny.

Wouldn't doubt they're still sitting in a evidence locker somewhere. I don't know how useful the BA would be, considering they took a few hits with it on, and at least 1 has brains on it.

No one said anything about actually using the body armor. It would be a collector's item, that's for sure. I think a musueum has Bonny & Clyde's bloody shirts and bullet-riddled car.

I can't see the point of wanting to buy a bullet riddled vest of two guys who robbed a bank in California and decided to shoot at the cops. I would rather spend the cash on something worth collecting. Bonny & Clyde will be remembered even 30-40 years from now, as thats why their valuables are worth the money that they are, ask someone 5 years from now who robbed a bank in Cali, you will get a answered along the lines of "those two guys who had ak-47s" Not, Larry Eugene Phillips, Jr. and Emil Matasareanu.

It's probablly in a box that someone stored in evidence and retired since then.

I doubt that they have been destroyed. Some of Bonnie and Clyde's weapons, including the cutdown BAR are on display at The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco,Texas. The North Hollywood weapons will likely end up in a "museum" of some sort.

I don't know where the guns are, but I do know where Larry Eugene Phillips and Emil Matasareanu are right now: In a very, very warm place.

I think it would be hard to get into some sort of criminal hall of fame given the current competition. There are alot more psychos out there that did way more damage and whatnot than they did.

The body armor and such used by the shooters is in a museum. I cannot for the life of me remember if it was in the ATF or FBI museum (ATF I think has a small exhibit in their DC building).

Speaking of Clyde Barrow's 1934 V8 Ford car, I wonder if the real one is in a museum or not.

When I was a kid growing up in a rural area of northcentral Arkansas, small carnivals came to our town each year. One of the standard "exhibits" was "The Original, Authentic, One And Only, Genuine 1934 V8 Ford that Bonnie & Clyde Were Killed In! Yessir, folks, for only 25 cents, two dimes and one nickel, one quarter of a dollar cash money, you can go in this here tent right here behind me and see the Ford car where Bonnie and Clyde were killed, bullet holes, blood and all!! Step right up, folks. Yessir, thank you, thank you!!"

Thing was, what those smart carnie people did was to buy some old beatup 1934 -- usually -- V8 Ford, take it out in a cow pasture, shoot it all to pieces with several caliber firearms, throw a bunch of cow's blood on it, put it on a trailer and tow it to various small towns to draw in the suckers. (Hey, as a kid, I was a sucker and laid down that hard earned quarter to see it, too!) :uhoh:

These small carnivals did it all over the country! At one time, I'd bet there were a couple dozen "Genuine, Authentic, Original, 1934 V8 Ford Bonnie & Clyde!!" cars making the rounds of the carnival circuits. ;)

I ain't hardly that gullible anymore but still, I wonder what ever happened to them all?

L.W.
