I have in 1983 dollars about $3000 invested in a custom 30/06 stocked by Bill McGuire, a Sako action with a Douglas Premium # 2 barrel, put together by Clyde Moslander, and engraved floorplate and action by the engraver that worked at Stan Baker's then. Sorry I forget his name now. Topped by a Leupold VX-III 1.5x5 scope and Sako rings. It’s a beauty and it shoots.

Afy,

I'd put the estimate at about $40k for those nine rifles. At the match ('08 Steel Safari), there was probably more than $120k worth of rifles total.

not gonna believe

You're not gonna believe this -

My most expensive long gun is my Custom 10/22.
I got "involved" at RimfireCentral & the Ultimate 10/22's and this is what happened to me.

Original Ruger 10/22 purchased new in 1976 - approx. $90.00
Green Mountain 20" Bentz chambered, blued .920 barrel - approx. $125.00
Fajen laminated Target Thumbhole stock - approx. $125.00
Volquartsen Superlite reciever - $300.00
Volquartsen TG2000 trigger group - $200.00
Volquartsen bolt - $200.00
Volquartsen Compensator - $50.00
Warne Maxima QD rings - $50.00
Mueller 8.5-25X44AO scope - $130.00

Yep - about $1,200 into a 10/22. No original Ruger parts used, except the magazines.
Won't be doing that again.

Bruce

Barrett 82 $8000
Leupold scope $850
Barrett factory ammo $3.50 round (310)
The actual total is just over $10,000.

It's a good thing they come with pretty much all the accessories you will need. The next highest would be my HK 93 and 91. $4,000 and $3,000 respectfully. Those HK 93 mags and accessories sure are expensive.

Its not even done yet, and its my most expensive gun. Its a m40a1 clone.

Stock: 780
Reciever: 500
Scope Mounts: 350

Total is at 1,630

Still need to buy the scope, then have it built. Probably cost me right around $6,700
