Ammo cabinet

My problem is I have to hard of time trying to find ammo. I keep a small amount of it at all times but it has begun to clutter the reloading room. I also am wanting to keep it away from certain people as well. My kids friends. So I am looking to build a cabinet that can be locked up and still not yell there are guns in me. The cabinet I am designing is going to have to be capable of holding serval thousand shot gunshells, Pistol ammo, and Rifle ammo. So if you can help me in this search and design of this cabinet please help.

Check at Lowes or Home Depot. They have locking tool boxes for contractors that have to leave tools at job sites. Very sturdy. Or the Sentry? safes they also carry are kind of plain looking. Wouldn't stop a determined thief, but will keep out inquiring minds.

Any cabinent will work you just have to find what is right for you and fits for what you need.

i knocked together a footlocker design large enough to hold 5 ammocans, single layer with casrers on the bottom.
