i'm not sure if it is due to old age, the hoildays or the kids just giving me fits, but...

awhile but there was a thread by a member who installed heavy duty garage sheves inside a sheet metal cabinet to hold either ammo or guns. does anyone remember this thread.

i've used the search function without sucess (maybe i'm asking the wrong words), so now i'm reaching out to the membership with the hope someone has netter recall then i.

i'm looking to put together a discreet ammo storage cabinet and can't seem to find the right conponents. every cabinet i've run across seems to have fixed sheves inside...or do i just remove them and use the new sheves suppport the exterior?

thank for any help

I have the "Preacherman Jr." set-up - I took the shelf and rail out of two closets and set up Gorilla Racks in them. Hold a ton of weight! The one here in my office is where the ammo goes, along with powder. :D

THR comes through again...thanks guys

i thought it was a preacherman post but i wasn't sure enough to come right out and ask  i hadn't realised that post had gotten to 4 pages in lenght

i've been looking around for a few months now for cabinets and shelves with demensions that were close enough to go together. i've been looking at gorilla shelves (what i use in the garage) and i don't think they make anything less than 18" deep. i'll be checking out the hirsh lineup next week.

most of the cabinets i've been looking at have had a middle shelf pop riveted in place (i'm assuming to keep the shell standing) i wasn't sure if i should drill them out or keep looking for a different cabinet. now that i'm sure they exist without the riveted in shelf, i'll keep looking

thanks again...that really was a great thread
