Here's my family photo, with a shotgun and pistol thrown in. Plus, the B3 is air powered, but I guess it counts because the barrel is rifled, right? I'm missing my Savage 30-06 that I loaned out and haven't got back yet :banghead:

I am and always have been a dairy farmer, which pays for crap. Up till I graduated college I got about $300 a month plus the occasional beef-cheque when I had to sell one of my cows. Which, being thrifty, I simply shuffled into a new gun so I didn't squander any equity.

But, I started when I was eighteen, and have been going for the past six years full-bore, and hanging around places like Gunboards.com so I have KNOWLEDGE. Without knowing what something is, you don't know what it's worth. Without knowing what it's worth, you can't spot the deals.

My two advantages are:

A) I have very low expenses, room and board are part of my pay and I walk to work

B) I am an absolute miser when it comes to spending money on fun stuff. I buy deals the likes of which hurt other peoples heads, and then sell or trade them for the high-dollar stuff I want. I run my collection like a business chartered to fulfill my wishes- everything is bought either to satisfy wants, or to resell to make money so I can afford what I want. Plus I refuse to pay retail on anything except tigerstripes.

Under those constraints, things just sorta... grow.

alemonkey, that B3 on the right was my first gun of any kind 7 years ago. I cannot tell you how many hundreds, probably thousands, of pellets i've put through it. I have a cheap tasco 4x scope on it and it puts 5 pellets in a nickel sized group at ~20 yards. Hope you've gotten as much enjoyment out of it as I have.

Just thought it was cool, other then my cousin I don't know anyone else who has one.

Seems like everyone but me has a SMLE.

rugybyer81 - For a cheap $30 airgun the B3 is hard to beat. I thought about scoping it but it works well as is. I shoot the heck out it. It's great for offhand practice in the garage and keeping the squirrels out of the wife's flowers. Head shots put the tree rats out of business right there. I think it's only rated at 500 fps or so, but mine seems a heck of a lot more powerful than that. The first day I shot it I set up a target against my privacy fence with a couple layers of carpet remnant as a backer. From 10 yards it shot all the way through both layers of carpet and the slats on the privacy fence. oops.

No "family" photos yet

You've caught me completely unprepared -

So Far, these are the only pics I have of the long-guns. I've only recently learned how to post pics and I've been concentrating on hand-guns. I'll have to post the rest of the long-guns later. No "family" photos yet, either.

I'm glad to see the appreciation for "old junk" is alive and well. I'd take pics of mine but I'm afraid I'd never get them back into their proper locations with an extensive blueprint.

Well since all I have is rifles, this would be the appropriate thread to post my family pic! Once again, my apologies for the lousy photo quality.

A rifle for every need (pay no attention to the UMP)....
